I\'ll put some effort into getting something done and on the way. Not Wood elves I\'m afraid (Not a fan of the new figs) but I\'ll see what I can do.
How many minis will be auctioned together? i was thinking maybe making the waystones as part of a display base for the buyer. And are wood elf ruins the same as normal elf ruins... can\'t find any Tree-Singer Runes except the 3 that are in the tutorial
Oh, and if we do use the stones as display bases are the minis going on GW round or square bases?
Just let me know what you\'d like and i\'ll finish up and snap pics of the first one.

i just bought a vallejpo set and it came with a matt varnish. is it any good, or should i go out and try to find a diffrent one?
im asking cause i want it to be all goodly.
also, do you have a cloak of the glade guard already finished up? so we can see it?

no matt varnish is great. mom is going to paint a glade guard and paint the cloak first, which should give a general idea.
you just need the general hue. She will get it up as quickly as she can.
@itchy - good job posting about the runes, we looked last night and couldnt find anything....maybe someone will know.

Good news .... Dark Zealot today is working to help overtime A few GW Stores in the US have pledged him models to send down with the ones he is painting also and they are emailing the other 3 stores in our area and the promotions guys to see if any one else would like to help also

I\'d really like to help out too. I\'m going to make a stop at my local Games Workshop tomorow and pick up some Waywatchers (probably just one blister pack maybe two) to to donate to the cause. I\'m just curious if someone can give me an idea of what greens to use on the cloak, I have dark angels, snot, and goblin green already, but if other greens are better then I have no problem picking up some more. I was also wondering about what to do with the bases, if someone could clear that up for me that would be great.

I have been out of touch a long time due to a new job in Sprint and we are currently trying to get communications back up in that area. It\'s tough because our switch is currently under about 15 feet of water. We are rerouting phone traffic all over the world to get it back up but its hard to tell if our efforts are working or not.
I am willing to put my brushes to work for you guys. Send me a note as to what you need for the army and I\'ll pick it up locally here, paint it up and send it out to you guys. I figure it would be much quicker for me to get it here than to wait for you to mail it to me, paint it, then mail it back.

Great to see things moving along here Tracy. I have been watching the news, hopefully aid will arrive soon in NO. Looks like they are working on repairing the leavies and instituting some type of marial law as well as evacuating people. Hopefully thing will get alot better in the next few days.
I checked the new site and I see I have a hawk rider on the way, awesome!! You also mentioned painting space marines too. Has a chapter been picked, if so what is it, Ultramarines perhaps? Let me know, I have several space marines lying arround that I could knock out in a hurry and get to you. Keep up the great work!!!

I was thinking I might pick up some materials to make some trees too, figure a tree stand might be a good idea to include in a wood elf army. I think there is a rule that lets them place trees or something... I\'ll see if I can find it.

Great idea for doing a stand of trees! There is a good article on the US GW site for building a portable forest. Take a look and see what you think.

That tree stand is quite similar to what I had planned. I dont know where to get Woodland Scenics around here though... I was planing on making the base like a display base but for trees instead of minis. The trees themselves were going to be hand made using the Quality Trees Low Cost article on here. I\'m making a trip into the local GW tomorow to pick up some Waywatchers for Works Of Heart, and I dont have alot of disposable income right now (student just isnt a very high paying job) so I don\'t think I\'ll be buying any of the GW trees.
