Okay, here\'s the thing BoyzN\'Girlz (sounds like a Teen Idol band.. oh, well..) : Black Paint is usually just a really dark blue to fool our eyes, which is why it makes an olive color when mixed with yellow. Also, since you cannot go darker than black, it should be your shadow colro. Thus, you should be using a VERY dark grey for the actual \"Black\" color, and a bit lighter grey for highlights.. Key here is to define the shapes without going into the lighter value range. I did this on the black parts of my
Tau Battlesuit and as you can see, people just accept it as black, even if it is just a bit lighter..
