I agree with Tommie's suggestion but you're definitely going to have to do more to sell the effect - it's hard to tell what parts have been done so far and which ones haven't. On the leg armour for example it looks a little like what'd you'd get by spraying white over black primer, not a deliberate NMM effect where you're trying to simulate a reflective surface.
In general I think you want to keep the white highlights to a minimum, so that where white is used it really shows up as bright reflections/specular highlights; also, aiming for more contrast overall would probably be a good idea.
