My latest mini! It\'s from French company Kraken Editions for their Alkemy game. It is a special edition resin mini, that you could buy at the Salon de Jeu in Paris last year. Sculpted by Jacques-Alexandre Gillois (of Helldorado and Ilyad fame). Very fun mini to paint! Hope you like it. :)

His weapon doubles as a hooka!

I love your work Anders, this one especially. The metals are superb. Hell, everything is superb, what am I sayin?

Top notch :)

if it hasn\'t been aproved yet it won\'t appear in your gallery.

check the add/edit pictures function on the home page, if it shows up their with waiting written above it just wait until a mod gets round to it.

Wow... that is simply beautiful.

I\'ve only started back to painting a couple weeks ago but a lot has changed in terms of style and technique. I love your low saturation colors and you do an amazing job of bringing out detail with contrast as opposed to wide variations in color or hue.

I\'m working on a Dwarf army to get back into the swing of things but painting like yours and some others I\'ve seen on this site is simply inspiring. I have some non-dwarf models coming (I stumbled onto Rackham scupts and fell in love). I\'m both nervous about and apsiring to attempt painting this style on them.

Thanks for the intimidating and motivating post! =)

@arogers
Thanks, and I\'m glad I can give you a bit of motivation (the intimidation will wear off...)! :) Be sure to post your work here! (EDIT: Noticed that you already had... :innocent: )

That is a beautiful paint job. I love the breastplate and metals. The freehand on the sleeves is nice too.

Just out of curiosity how long does a model like this take you to paint?

Top. The details, the freehand, the metallics, the overall look. Top!

And a lovely miniature, that one\'s a limited right? Any chance to still getting one for a reasonable price somewhere?

Nice work on the pussycat, allround. Your metals are really coming around and the freehand is beautiful. I do think it fitted better on the dark background though.

Thanks for your comments, all! :)

@Maron
It depends on what mini and how complex it is, what colours I use (if I use colours I\'m very used to and don\'t need any experimenting), and if things generally go my way. This mini is complex and I tried lots of new things on it so it took quite a long time. I\'d say a bit over 30 hours. Other minis may take 15 hours or even 5-10 hours.

@Jike Ichi
I don\'t know if it is limited or not, but it\'s not available for general sale. It was available at a show in Paris, and possibly it will be available again at other events. Don\'t know.

@Avelorn
I like both backgrounds. But, this one turned out a little bit more blue than I intended. The printed background is more towards the green. And it makes the colours of the mini stand out better.

Cheers! :beer:
