we have the two sides of the prospero battle comin\' up, and another dark angels book...
after that it\'s a toss up...
i don\'t see why they wouldn\'t continue on with the assault on the ultra\'s territory, and the assault on terra...
the books have been so popular, they might as well carry the story through to it\'s conclussion...

i heard there was supposed to be one for each of the legions. having said that, there are 2 \'lost\' legions, and it doesn\'t stop them doing multiples about the same legion (ie sons of horus, dark angels etc)
I have read all of them apart from mechanicum and tales of heresy and i have both just havent got round to reading them properly.
I like most of them tbh, legion a standout and fulgrim and flight of eisenstein fav\'s too, but saying that the first three are great and the others are good too. I agree with what people said about the descent of angels as its more of a prelude to the next dark angels book.
Probably imo one of the most credible things GW have done as its great for imagery and conjures up awesome ideas.

i disagree! lol i think a few of them were good but i found them too repetative after a while. although i did like the humerous approach

I have to agree wth freak - the first two were god but the rest were pretty predictable. Didn\'t stop me from ready evey last word though.
As for the HH series: I loved the first three books, as many have. They really set the pace and mood well. The rest, well, not sure if it\'s the writers, or what but the spark just doens\'t seem to be there. Descent of Angels was pretty bad (and made no sense, I don\'t think it ever will, really) and Fulgrim, although idea wise was very interesting, just got too long - I got sick of reading about Fulgrim by the end of the book.
Mechanicum was a step back in the right direction as it shed a lot of light on something that is sitill active in the current day (heh) story line in the year M40.
For general 40K, I still think Eisenhorn and Ravenor has been the best series to date. And for some reason I really enjoyed Lord of the Night even though it\'s general panned.

thats rubbish read the books will ya the only repetative element within the stories is cains inate cowardice and the way fortune doesnt always favour the brave but the smart. i find cains ideology of \"Semper in excreta solun profundum variat\" to be refreshing to the usual boring conventional heroe rubbish. and for you plebes that are a little rusty on your latin it means \"Always in the shit only the depth is variable\" to finish up ive served with military myself and there are very few live heroe\'s the heroes that do tend to survive have a tendancy to think just like ciaphas cain and for the most part are incredibly lucky

Actually I am curious to know how Magnus falls to chaos. If I had to guess I would say his exposure to warp powers since he uses them but do not tell me
The fall of Magnus is in the fluff stuff already pretty much. But I won\'t go into it if you want to find out in the books =P
I find the Heresy series a pretty good read actually! I hear \"Decent of Angels\" getting slated a lot, but as Undave said it\'s one half of the story. It had to set the scene for the rest of it to happen and I reckon that when the second half of that particular tale is published there\'s going to be a lot of \"Oooohhh!\" Going on as the pennies drop.
Lets face it, the Dark Angels in the heresy were a pretty epic tale all of their own being so conflicted. And the only chapter to be so.
I can\'t imagine it being so simple as Luther stomping off to Lion el Johnson and saying \"I hate you!\" like a disgruntled teen then kicking off.
The Alpha Legions\' tale I thought was a very interesting one...

Personally I loved them all. And I have read most of them a couple of times. Some are weaker than other though. I am really looking forward to the burning of prospero, hopefully Russ will bully Magnus around They should make a book about the world eaters! I think Angron is one of the coolest primarches.

if i remeber rightly Russ goes a bit further than that. there was aworld eater as a central character in Battl;e for the Abyss, its one redeeming feature to me
The book about Russ and Magnus should be a good read.
Also i read a short extract of Fallen angels on Black Library and it seems a great story, defo agree with what has been said about descent of angels despite being a little dull it is needed as the whole Dark Angel participation is really huge.

I know, he kicks his ass so badly he almost dies but escapes into warp or something like that. Horus finds out and contacts Magnus and they become best friends. Maybe I missed some details
I to liked the World Eater in the battle for abyss, but there should be one with the world eaters as the main legion and angron as one of the main characters How about the story where the world eaters breaks into this citadel on some lost human world, butchers everyone in there and in the city and leaves, then the ultramarines comes in there after them and are very shocked that angrons legion is to wild.. Im sure if they could make a story out of it that would be better than the battle for the abyss. Im not sure about the timeline but maybe weave it into the battle vs the technocrazy in the false gods book. Maybe I should mail this idea to Dan the man Abnett
