Local store house brand with a bag of Celestial Seasonings or other flavored tea for me -

But then again, I drink Ice tea, not a cuppa.lol

I think I have a brother from another mother...

The only tea I buy is Celestial Seasonings-Sleepy Time, it doesn\'t make me tired and tastes great. I rarely drink it, drink lots of Iced Tea though.

Hot tea = gunpowder style green teas and while SRL is correct in that Pete\'s is over priced, they have a \"Fancy Dragon Pearls\" (if I remember correctly) that is a jasmine tea leaf beaded up and then a green tea leaf wrapped around that. $4 a cup, but soooooo good for when you want to spoil yourself. Or at Starbucks (evil empire and what-not) \"medium chai, 1/2 soy, 1/2 nonfat, no water, no foam\" (no water since it\'s a chai concentrate by Tazo). And preferably Tazo for tea bags.

Iced tea = southern style sweet tea, or Starbucks (evil empire and what-not again) \"large iced passionfruit, no water, 8 pumps clasic\" (no water since they brew batches super strong tea to use as concentrate and \'classic\' is \"classic syrup\", just simple syrup with a fancy name).

 <--cup o\' tea this time

My wife only drinks Lipton tea, as she doesn\'t really like any other. Not being a tea person myself, that is my opinion for a good cup of tea.

I ADORE tea, and it MUST be served the British way - lots of sugar and even more cream.
<snip>

That\'s the British way of drinking tea? ??? I must be doing something wrong then! I\'d rather have my tea as God intended- strong enough to stand the spoon up in, no sugar and a bit of semi-skimmed! (That\'s half-fat milk to ppl from elsewhere.)

Actually, someone mentioned the powdered Japanese green tea- that really is good, but a bit of an aquired taste. I miss the green tea in Japan. If you went to a Circle-sushi place you could make yourself as much green tea with the powder as you liked- brilliant!

We\'ve had this discussion before Cream is NOT mean to go in tea. :|~

I\'m very picky about my Tea, for reason I\'ll go into later.
But my Tea of choice is Darjeeling, because it\'s light, has a softer flavour and doesn\'t need either sugar or milk (Please take note Shawn).

However due to health reasons I\'ve reduced my caffine intake dramatically (Menieres Syndrome) so after one or two Darjeeling in the morning I \'ve switched to Redbush (Roobios) & Vanilla or Redbush and Honey dependant on whats available.

As for Yorkshire Tea, Sorry guys but every time I\'ve been given a cup made with that it\'s been terrible. It\'s always so full of powder and tea dust that stick like old sand grains to my teeth. Plus it always tastes like it\'s been made by an Artilleryman, ie brewed for 10 hours in a used brass shellcasing.
(GW Bolton has a really great lad working in there, completely devoted to helping people, but he\'s in the Territorial Army {UK\'s reserve forces} as an Artilleryman and that is how his tea tastes. You can strip paint off steel and polish it to a mirror like shine with it.)

I wasn\'t really objecting to the cream, per se. If that\'s how he likes it, then each to his own. *shudder!* But it ain\'t British! :p;)

Can\'t drink it with milk now, swapped to Rosehip \"Tea\" following a stomach operation then when I went back, to normal tea all I could taste was the \"Fat\" in the milk. :|~

The Stash double Earl Grey is crazy good. Love that stuff. I\'ve always been hugely biased towards Earl Grey, since I was a kid and my grandpa used to look after us kids after school. He\'d always have an Earl Grey and read the newspaper.

Hot Earl Grey with a pile of sugar is the way to go.

Another good one is Aveda Comfort Tea. Super good, works well with a touch of sugar or honey. Expensive though, $30 for a jar of loose tea or $20 for 20 bags.

One thing I\'ve really been meaning to try is some white tea. I know a friend who is crazy about it, and there\'s a place in town called Steeps that has a bunch of varieties. Again it\'s really expensive, but supposed to be worth every penny.

BTW isn\'t it \"Twinings\" not \"Twinnings\" ? It\'s not a huge deal really, but it bugs me almost as much as people saying \"Delta Creamcoat\" on the forums... it\'s Ceramcoat dammit :D

AAAhhh! proper tea! lol

If there was a Derbyshire tea, I\'d expect it to be the same but with added brawn :D

What about cereal and other milky things? a good friend of mine has a lactose allergy and can\'t touch any of it... that would really wind me up.

Twinings or a best quality supermarket\'s own Assam was my tipple of choice until my caffeine intolerance. What a shitter that was! I now have to drink decaf :(

Darjeeling, Assam or Roiboos flavoured with various berrries are my favourite teas (although, technically, Roiboos is not tea).

if it\'s a fancy tea i can understand no milk or sugar but normal stuff had to be strong yet milky and sweet. yes, i can be strong and milky at the same time!

@dr - it\'s now later. why are you so fussy about tea?

oh and NO CREAM!! cream is for coffee. although don\'t the americans refer to full fat milk as cream? could be wrong but i\'m sure there is some variation on that

Cream is for deserts. For some black teas I want milk, but green teas and roiboos should be unsullied. Coffee must be black! No milk and certainly no cream or sugar!! :|~

I\'m the same as Mike, I can\'t drink milk anymore in anything, all I can taste is the fat.
Not sure why I went off it, just one day I couldn\'t stomach it anymore.

I thought about putting cream in my tea, but thought it sounded too odd.

I do put it in my coffee however, although I\'ve all but given up drinking that.

I gotta see if there are fancier brands at the supermarket....although I\'m happy at the moment with the plain o stuff I\'m drinking.

I do love Ice Tea, but that is better sweetened and with a bit of lemon.
