Lucky you! It\'s around +15 C here and from now on it will be only colder till, perhaps, next June.

Its hot here in the southwest of the good old UK too!

Nearly to hot to paint! The paint dries on the brush before you can get it to the mini.

I\'d rather be too cold than too hot. At least when you\'re cold you can put more clothing on or kick back with a snifter of whisky. If it\'s too hot you get to a point where you just can\'t do anything else to cool down.

I have worked outside in both extremes...

From where it is so cold your snot immediately freezes to your face, to fry an egg on your forehead hot....

I hate \'em both equally.

Give me 70 degrees, lots of sunshine, and a cool breeze (just like today!)....:D

I\'m for heat!

I\'d rather work in the heat. It\'s miserable, and you can die, but at least it\'s warm. The cold sucks.

Right now in Georgia the temp is fairly mild. We have Frances sitting on top of us, raining and raining. It will probably rain until late Wednesday evening. Anyway, it\'s keeping us cool, which is nice.

In Georiga, according to a joke I once heard, we have 4 seasons: Almost Summer, Summer, Still Summer, and Christmas. I\'ve lived here for 30 years and that just about sums it up.

Trade ya.

Only 85 degrees here with 110% humidity. Walk to your car and your shirt is soaked. Still getting rain bands from Francine and looking forward to Ivan next week.

Hey, I\'ll trade anyone for my climate. In the summer, it can get nearly 40 celcius, and I prefer that easily to the -40 celcius we get in the summer.

According to Star Trek, I bet that climate doesn\'t even qualify as habitable (80 degree shift from season to season)... Too cold = death.

Huh, it\'s just raining here.. with mild 10° c weather with lotsa wind. And will be for the next half a year or so.
And we don\'t even have humidity ??? Or at least not much. Never shows up on weather charts and the weather dudes on TV never ever mention it.
Huh :wow:

Throwing in my 2 cents, I can\'t stand the mixture of high heat and high humidity. It is the most oppressive feeling to me. Heat on its own isnt too bad, like in the southwest of the US, unless it is triple digits farenheit. At least when it is cold, you can put on more clothes and you don\'t feel disgusting and grubby because you are covered in a sheen of sweat and your clothes are wet too. My brother lives in San Francisco, and according to him it is mild year round, never really one extreme or another - maybe I should move there.

Extremes....

...well I hate being too hot - I just get soooo sleepy and then generally loose the will to live.

I also hate being too cold....but it gives you a darn good reason to snuggle with someone to keep warm :D Preferably in front of a roaring fire....*sigh*

wild weather

Here in Chicago it\'s typical September weather... 72 degrees, no humidity:D

It wasn\'t so long ago, however, that it was so hot the sculpey for my dioramas was turning to mush! Needless to say, it wasn\'t much fun to have to bake the stuff and make the house even warmer!

The crazy bit about our weather is how quickly it can change (a 50 degree shift in a matter of hours). It is not unusual to follow up a week of 10 degree weather in February with a few 70 degree days.

In December, you can start on Monday with mid 50\'s and rain, and by Wednesday have 6 inches of snow on the ground with temps in the teens, and 35 mph winds.

Has anyone ever experienced a snowstorm on a sunny, cloudless day? It happens here at leat once each winter.

At least Lake Michigan acts as a natural shield against tornadoes:wow:

Is it just me who doesn\'t want that image in my mind before I head off to bed? Now Tooshy and a roaring fire\'s another matter entirely!
