How did You find Your Love ?

Meeting the person you share your life with is always a special event.
I’m sure there are some breathtaking stories out there.
I would very much like it if You would share Your story how You met your love.

As a starter:
I met my love in a holiday in Greece. Saw him walking down the beach and got hit like a horsekick by fate telling me “this is your man”. I was a little disappointed at first because he resembled not at all to my dream-boy-husband-in-spe. Nothing the less I went after him - you don’t tempt fate just for spite – and came to know him. Some weeks later, safely back home and doing our separate jobs in separate cities we became an issue. Everything fell in place like a spell since then, he moved, I moved and we came to live together. We are now 12 happy years together since this fateful holiday and every year gets better and happier still.

I\'ve had many loves. Meeting them is easy..... Keeping them is another thing altogether.

But it seems the more I look the less i see. I tend to meet someone when i stop looking for them.

I\'d love to impart a wonderful story about finding and getting with my hearts desire, but I have never, ever had a serious relationship.

The only person I\'ve ever really felt anything strong for was at college, and I never even told her.

I was at that point in my life where what other people thought was way too important to me, and I knew I\'d get grief off a few of my mates if I did anything, so I resorted to that age old playground tactic of being mean to her instead. Nothing harsh, we were mates, but there was plenty of piss taking. Did she know I fancied her? Perhaps. Could something have happened if I\'d tried. Quite possibly. Does it still get at me from time to time now I am older and wiser. Shit yeah!

Believe it or not...ICQ.

We have been married for five years and together for seven years.

We have had our ups and downs. But we are still too stubborn to let each other go.

Job

I hired her. She walked into my company and I took her over a number of much more qualified dudes.

I tried to keep it \"pro\" but 6 month later we got drunk at new years at a concert and felt each other up.

Now we live together, own two dogs and just got engaged.

She tolerates the hobby, which is more then I can say for most girls.

Met my first wife in a Coffee Shop in College.

Met my second wife in the Dorm at College. Then years later ran into her at a party after I divorced the first one. Then she decided that men were no longer on the menu, and we needed to get divorced.

Met my girlfriend through my second wife - turns out the GF was interested in me but didnt want to say anything till she found out that we were getting divorced.

Eh I am a fat, ugly, lazy obnoxious ass, I have pretty much given up on ever finding that one. That is why they invented Prostitutes and Porn...not to mention the occasionaly pity lay.

For those who found your one more power to ya.

Wait... that\'s me to a tee but without the ability to get the pity lay. However thanks to the internet chat room i did find someone i care about and who tolerates me. I\'ve known my fiance for 10 years and been living with her for 7... and engaged for 5. Must someday force her to actually go through with the marriage.

Never give up hope, you crazy diamond. Look at some of the stupid, mean, ugly, useless assholes who end up married or at least laid regularly. You\'ve gotta be better than them.

I met my current GF on internet dating. She sent me a \"wink\" I never responded to... (her profile seemed a bad match to me) so she sent another a month later. Lucky for me she\'s persistent! Despite the profile we get along quite well - just 8 months so far, but no signs that either one of us is about to hit the road.

Met her at work. We dated, got married and had a daughter.

Then she decides to have an affair some ex-boyfriend of hers and then tells me that he makes her happier than I do, so she leaves me for him.

Interesting twist: she recently told me that she\'s more miserable with him than she ever was with me and she wants him to leave. Bitter irony or poetic justice?

the current \'love\' hunted me down at a party. Quite a nice change from the usual boys do everything, most of the time I\'m the one doing the hunting :p Alas, nothing very romantique in all that.

Sonny you\'re gonna hate me. I met my wife when i was 16.

I\'d just started at a new school and the whole year had to go on an orientation day doing physical and mental activities at one of these leisure centres where its more about sweating than relaxing. I had made friends with a few people and she was one of their Exs. After getting to know her etc etc we\'ve now been together nearly 9 years married for 3 with one daughter and another baby on the way!

Scary but she\'s everything i\'m not and she does the hobby! woohoo

Here\'s some other twists of fate that have come from us getting together. Mine and her brother became best friends (being of identical age) and they met twin sisters who they are both now engaged to! weird but at least i only have to remember a couple of surnames for christmas cards
