Exactly. At 35, I\'m quite happy in my disgust for anything involving relationships and romance. Enough lies and dishonesty for me. Maybe someday when someone is able to earn my faith, trust and respect...

Internet role playing.

Which was very annoying, because after a number of ill-fated attempts, I\'d sworn off ever getting involved with someone online again.

Married for almost four years, now.
And I\'m proud to say that she\'s a gamer-geek, too.
A cute one.
It defies the odds of probability, and probably several laws of physics (at least around here), but there it is.

Will do Sonny!

@Naukhel - i know how that feels to have an attractive partner who likes the geek scene and prefers nights in with paint brushes, computers and discussions on how to level up her half elf sorceress properly for the next D&D campaign. One day i expect her to recover from the massive trauma to her head and realise she loves goign out with her friends and celebrity big brother!

Holds up hand.
Met Fran at school when we were both 15.
Hooked up a couple of years later.
Just clocked up 27 years of being married, back in October.

Ive met some good girlfriends through school, but it all got a alittle clingy been there 6hrs a day.
I dated a girl I met on a bus ride to work , really good looking , didnt think I had a chance till she pulled out her history text book. So I managed to hit a conversation off about what she was doing and it turned out she was in the same year as me. It was great whilst it lasted but she ended up going for a much older lad :~(
Another girl friend I met through her dad and that was great but I suppose the distance between us affected the relationship :(

I seem to be a in dry patch of dating lately :(

I was a associate sysop of a local BBS called Spine of the World. On this BBS I was going to attempt to run a game of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Had one Female player who was extremely interested and helpful in getting the game going.

Unfortunately the game didn\'t turn out, but it ended up the Female player went to my Highschool, and was in my Computer Sci class. We met then and started dating not too long after. Dated forever and finally got Married.

So I guess you could say I met her online, though a bit before what we now know as the internet.

I\'m another one of the guys most geeks hate as I have a gamer girl who is probably more into some gaming then I am.

Trust me it\'s not all it\'s craked up to be. Most people get to argue about money, we get to argue about who gets the PC each night to play WoW, who\'s paints are who\'s, who gets to use which unique Heroclix etc. She\'s on here somewhere as Pandoragreen, but is usually too busy gaming when on the PC to check in.

My boyfriend and I got together at university, after we met on an Explorer\'s hike at the beginning of our final year. Took us until December to get our act togther, tho! There was much drunkenness and confusion all round, but luckily we didn\'t rush into doing anything silly (you know what I mean!), which helped a lot. We were awkward enough without *that* kind of embarrassment! We\'re still together 3 years later, and even tho we haven\'t seen each other for almost a year now due to being in different countries, we\'ve both managed to stay faithful. We should see each other again in a couple of months when he moves to Australia for work and I head there for a working holiday. Should be interesting...

I\'m the gaming convert in the relationship, altho I did play a lot of computer games when we met. James plays rpgs, but for ages he refused to tell me what he got up to with his friends because he was too embarrassed. I eventually weaselled it out of him like any good woman should, and then I decided to join in and never looked back! :)

I consider myself very lucky - my boyfriend is also one of my best friends.

Me too. I met my wife and best friend at 13. I had just started a new school (hers). We were friends throughout high school and she hung out with my Mom and Sister a lot. We got together about 3 years after graduation. I was in the Army and she contacted me. We got together when I was on leave and have been married 11 years, 3 sons. Every day is like winning the lottery.

And may it stay that way.

A friend of mine and I shared an apartment. He was a youth group co-councelor and would wag back this crew of kids that would sit in our apartment and play Uno until we ran them off. One night the other co-councelor came. We started dating that night and have been together ever since.

Senior year computer tech teacher was my wifes sophomore history teacher. I came in early to help him out when he was sick. My wife saw me and hunted me for nine months. We dated for three years, until she turned 18. Got married almost 5 years ago.

Met in college but the specific facts of our first meeting are too embarassing and I will never tell.

I will say that we met like the first day of school, then didn’t see each other again until one evening almost exactly a year later, when she didn’t remember me though I remembered her, then again I saw her months later on the day my dad died and I was running around telling everyone I’d be gone from school for a while, then again more than a year later, when I saw her having lunch with a friend of mine.
Turned out she was sharing an apartment with him and in fact I was friends with all of her friends but we’d never known it.

She was a friend of a friend.

I had just gotten out of a relationship where I concluded being single was not so bad, and the last thing I wanted was to start dating again. Funny how the world works. That was nine years ago(been married six).

ok, my first answer was just a goof...

She was not a mail order bride.

I was a mail order groom....

Honestly...it was a friend of a friend thing also....I think last year marked the time where I have been with her for more of my life than I had been without her....We\'ve been together since 87...married in \'89.

A mutual friend introduced us during college because we both had an Amiga computer. All three of us lived in the same dorm, and he thought we might want to swap software.

I know... nerd alert.

Woke up one day with an axe in my back. She was the first passerby who I asked to pull it out. She pushed it in a bit further.

Actually, I\'m kinda an asshole, and I was at work one day and somebody from PETA that I work with went off on me about my leather coat. I was furious with him and fifteen minutes later saw him talking to a girl. Thought it might have been his girlfriend, and I decided that my revenge was going to be me looking good in front of his girlfriend and making him look stupid. Had no idea that he was gay and she was only a faint acquientence of his from high school. been married for five years now...

I belong to PETA too, People Eating Tasty Animals.

If God didn\'t want us to eat them, why did he make them out of meat? And cover them in leather and fur?
