Humm just a question what does the non-paying bidder ebay warning do ?
I had some trouble a while ago. I bought somthing from ebay. And when I told the seller that I would pay by paypal, he told me that he didn\'t accept paypal from outside the US (wasn\'t mentioned in the auction). So I proposed paying by check (american check), or cash ( dollars). But still said no. So I proposed wire transfer... still no. Since these are the only mean of paying and he didn\'t seem to want any of them I just gave up and told him so. And he gave me a non paying bidder warning through e-bay. No negative feedback though. Now I\'m pretty sure he diodn\'t want me to ay because he didn\'t want to ship to france
But does the non paying thingy show up somwhere ??? I haven\'t had any signe of it exept a mail from ebay.

Look in your ebay account for the report an unpaid item, then look forthe unpaind item policy.
As long as you follow the guidlines posted by ebay you should be fine.
I have had to do this on several occasions my self and have never recieved a negative feedback in response.
Ban the bastard from bidding on your stuff, and leave him a negative comment.

It appears Frenchie was the buyer, in this case. I\'ve had several auctions bid on by international bidders (i.e., non-US) when it stated in the Shipping Options \"US Only.\" A lot of times get overly excited and don\'t pay attention, so I don\'t get too upset.
Now I ship worldwide on almost all of my auctions, as I simply charge a minimum $5 handling fee on int\'l shipments because I have to physically go to the post office, fill out customs forms, etc. Domestic shipping I just do it through PayPal, pop it in the mailbox and I\'m done. I use USPS boxes, tape, everything but packing material (newspaper, which is almost free!).
Some people are horrified of shipping internationally, but I don\'t understand why. It\'s a bit of a pain in the ass, yes, but just up the handling fee to cover it...it doesn\'t bother me, and you wouldn\'t believe how many people express their gratitude because \"we can\'t get these easily over here.\"
Refusing to accept payment is just stupid, though.

I finally got my first negative feedback. I knew it would come eventually, but it was still a disappointment. I waited two months for the guy to pay, or hell, even contact me, with no communication whatsoever. And this is with me sending out an email every week, plus the mitagation email that you can send through eBay. So he left me negative feedback, and you know what he typed? \"No comment.\" My first negative, and it\'s \"No comment.\" Hmm, he could of at least said what I did wrong. And now a year and a half of careful packaging, quick shipping, and accurate advertising has been ruined by one person ticked that I left negative feedback when he deserved it.
I have left negative feedback to non-payers before, but at least they have had the decency not to retaliate and besmirck my record. lol Can you tell I\'m steamed? Just thought I\'d add my two cents, and I am glad that you did not run in to this problem. *shrug* Just goes to show you never know how someone is going to react to negative feedback. Ebay needs to come up with something that takes the retalitory crap off of the seller and allows honest feedback.
For instance, if you send reminder notices through ebay and if they had a \'non-paying bidder\' button that you can punch, if you get a retalitory comment left, you should be able to report it, an ebay person look into it, see if you followed all the channels, send a inquiry message to both parties and then remove the retalitory feedback if it is deemed.
Not going to happen, but I hate that sort of buisness.

I feel for you, PW, my last neg was from a non-paying bidder. One twist is that\'s it\'s written in Spanish or Italian, so I can only sorta tell what it says. Anybody care to translate this: \"Questo non risponde alle mail in cui chiedo i termini e poi da il negativo...mah\"
Oh, the better thing is then newbies think the feedback is some kind of message board. My last neutral was this, \"Lost wallet, I am unable to complete PayPal transactions at this time. Now what?\" lol Ummm, shouldn\'t this info be e-mailed, NOT put in my friggin\' feedback!
Anyone else with more eBay horror stories?

Man, all, this crap is why you couldn\'t pay me to buy or sell anything worth more than five bucks on eBay. I trust eBay and PayPal about as far as I could throw a bin containing all their servers, since as far as I can tell they basically don\'t give a crap how many people get ripped off using their service - as long as they can say it wasn\'t their fault.
Why do they not care? Because there will always be idiots who use online auctions to satisfy their rare beanie baby needs, and are willing to risk being screwed in the process. Where does that leave honest, diligent buyers and sellers? You end up having to take the same risks as the \"beanie baby people\", even though you should know better.

Paintwidow and Duende -Please contact eBay and demand a retraction of the negaive feedback from a non paying bidder. Provide them with all communications and documantation and they will retract the feedback, they just don\'t like to make it public that it is possible to remove feedback. Simply put, you could threaten a libel lawsuit since it is easy to show that unmerited negative feedback can tarnish your ability to sell and make the profit you would have with a clean 100% record. See what a direct request to remove the feedback in question comes up with. Oh by the way, I loved the fire dragons that you just sold Duende. If I played Eldar I would have definitely bid on them, they were awesome.

Well , personally I`m trying to wait as long as possible before I bring THE DOOM, especially when the buyer responds to my emails. To tell the truth I did it only twice. In one of the cases I`ve noticed that the guy got suspended.
I`m quite surprised that some people don`t read the rules before they bid. I got my only one negative feedback from the guy that received broken model. Well , in the rules I`ve stated that sometimes items may get damaged during shipping but I`ll fix them for free. No email,no conatact , he just left me a negative feedback (well to be honest he left me one positive for the mini that arrived safely and onenegative for the one that was damaged). I understand that he might get upset ( I would ) but on the other hand he could have read the rules and could have a bit more imagination - when the package travels half of the world shit sometimes happen,rarely but still do .
All in all I think it`s all about ebay - you just have to live with such kind of things...

I bought GPS unit from a guy on eBay yesterday, almost purely because of his negative feedback, or should I say his reaction to it.
I always read feedback before making a purchase and often, it is quite obvious that the seller has been dealing with a complete f*ckwit who had no intention/ability to pay etc. Calm, measured response to this sort of feedback gives the seller a golden opportunity to show what a nice guy/gal they are. I actually hunt through a sellers feedbacks looking for the negatives in order to see why they have occured and how they are dealt with.
For example:

I just felt sympathy for this guy, which was obviously more than some of his customers didlol

Ooh, new update on my eBay melodrama. Doing research for my email to eBay, I discovered something interesting. My auction ended Jan 7. On Jan 10, this non-paying bidder won the same item from a different seller for a lesser amount. BOU-YA Now I know why he didn\'t want to pay for my item.
Unfortunately, not all buyers are as careful researchers as Finn, and I have noticed that people would bid on my items for more, rather than other people who have negative feedback. I worked hard for my spotless feedback, and I intend to keep it. Wow, that was uber serious! lol Like I said, I\'ll let you know how it goes. I will not go quietly into that dark abyss (or however that quote goes).
