How many models?

ok, now I got all curious and had to spend an hour counting:

I\'m just over 4000 ...blimey! 1400 are American Civil War and 900 are Napoleonic ... Good grief .. who knew? who knew?

See, that\'s the advantage of having a gamer for a spouse. As long as the rent and ligths get paid, my hubby doesn\'t care what I buy or how many minis I have.

Of course, I can\'t go completely overboard, or I\'d be up to my eyeballs in PS2 disks (his).

I have even fewer than Caelithar - my entire oeuvre of 10 completed minis (12 if you count that 2 have familiars ) is up here on CMON. I hope to finish up my latest and bring that total up to a gigantic 11 any time now. (I think I\'m getting better, but I also seem to be getting slower, so I don\'t think I\'ll be counting them in the hundreds any time soon!)

Aside from that I have three minis painted by a friend 10 years ago, and three extremely chipped minis by unknown artist picked up by virtue of being GM. I hope to one day rehabilitate one or two of them and submit them to Zaphod\'s crappy mini or not.

I hear you, my rate of painting seems to be getting a lot slower. When I look back at the empire army I did a few years ago two things spring to mind

1) Hmmm, they look kinda crappy now
2) How the hell did I manage to paint all those guys?

But the real question for everyone is how many minis do you have unpainted.

Not as many as you\'d think, at the moment unpainted I have:

~30 silver helms
Good guys from Fellowsip of the ring boxed game
13 Riders of rohan and 24 mordor orcs
A tau army

Of those, it\'s only the first two that I have no plans to paint in the near future

Is the question how much unpainted lead you have? I thought it was how much was painted. I used to have one of those covered tubs full of blistered minis, but I\'ve been a painting fiend lately and made a bit of a dent in it.

Looks like time to buy more lead. lol

Painted and Unpainted

I have painted several hundred that are scattered around the world as commissions, and have only kept, maybe a dozen or so for myself! Now unpainted, that\'s the question. I keep my to-be-painted minis in plastic craft boxes with foam as cushions, and those hold about 20 minis each. I have about 10-12 of those boxes, plus a big pile of minis still in blisters, so.......somewhere around 300 unpainted ones. Oh wait, I forgot about my complete unpainted Eldar army, so 300+!

Too many to count any more ... way too many. I could probably survive a nuclear war in my hobby room and I still seem to find time to buy more... Very addicted.

Probably mid hundreds painted, kinda difficult to know as many are in the UK.

Unpainted, well, lets just say I could set up a GW shop on my own lol

Last time i counted which was about ten years ago, i had over 6000 minis.

My addiction has yet to subside and i estimate my collection to now be well over 9000 ( i dare not try counting them again).

Approximatly half of these are 6 and 15mm.

Ive painted about 800 28mm ,600 15mm, 1000 6mm and 12 large scale figs.

I started doing this at the age of 14 (20 years ago).
