We have a 1.99 theatre here in my town. IF I actually see this movie at any point, it will be there.

fecking hell!! it cost me about £5-7 to see a film. thats not including parkingor any food. our local cinmea charges £7 for a large popcorn and a large drink. i might as well bend over while i\'m at it!! (no comments please....!)

Yup, discount theaters all over the US. Course, they\'re all movies that are six or nine months since their initial release. The theater I saw last weekend here had \"300\", \"Meet the Robinson\'s\", and \"Firehouse Dog\". And you can tell easily if a movie stinks by how fast it hits the discount theater. Quickest I saw was two months.

Oh, if you want to watch a movie the first two months of release, we\'d have to pay about the same amount. I have watched maybe two movies in a theater the last year. Just too hard and expensive to take the entire family. I think it was $8 per person, which is around £4 I think right now. Then again, parking is free most places.

But I\'m getting close to being able to go to the theater any time I want. Going to convert part of the basement in the new home into a honest theater. Found a place I can buy movie theater chairs (not the overstuffed leather kind mind you). Just will need to buy the A/V equipment and a popcorn machine. Maybe a soda fountain too. Hmm...and maybe a candy rack. And some pickles.

Exactly. Like I said, IF I ever see this movie, it will be in a fashion that allows me to give as little money to Michael Bay as I can.

Now...Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix...that I\'ll pay full price to see.

Yup....after about 2-3 weeks the \'first run\' movies go there and they are about $4.50. Cant bring myself to cough up the $9.50 for a movie.

I\'m really on the fence about this one. on the one hand i really liked the transformers as a kid, so do i really want to screw with that memory? yes. but i think i\'ll wait till it comes out to movie.

Harry Potters the same way. I don\'t know whether or not i\'d want to shell out the monies or just wait. Depends on who\'s going with me i guess.

Now, Rush Hour 3, that I\'ll go see in the theaters, as will the rest of my family. Jackie Chan rocks my world.

At band rehearsal the other night I mentioned to the other band members that I believed that the majority of films that come out of Hollywood are nothing but propaganda films that promote US/western ideals and reinforce the idea that America is at the center of the universe and we can all rest assured that the yanks will save us from any impending threats. Well - I didn\'t say all that. I just said that most Hollywood flicks are US propaganda films. (Maybe, I\'m reading too far into things that are made purely for entertainment)

Anyway, two of the cool cats in the band said that they say Transformers over the weekend and that this was how they both viewed this film. They also said there was some really annoying character in the film that you just want to see die really quickly. A bit like Jar Jar from those crappy Star Wars flicks.

After seeing Spiderman 3 (what a load of pro-US rubbish!) I\'m going to have to sit this movie out (as in make a point of not seeing it) and perhaps waste a few dollars on the DVD when it comes out just so I can complain about what tripe it was to my friends.

The best movie I\'ve seen in the last decade would definitely be \'Pan\'s Labyrinth\' - brilliant movie! Also, Rocky Balboa was a good movie with a really emotional story behind it.

Funny that you think all Hollywood films are pro-US jingoism...seems to me most people here in the states believe that Hollywood is full of liberal America haters that want to destroy our country from within.

Perception is a funny thing.

I don\'t doubt that this one is over the top in USA all the way though...that\'s a Michael Bay trademark.

Theres a Rush Hour 3 \"war what is it good for absolutly nothing, sing it again\" you know the words come on. I never knew this why did i not know this some of the best slap stick comedy done in years . I\'m confused by the lack of Uber ranting about the greatness of Transformers

Holy crap Uber hasnt gotten onto this thread yet... and here i was thinking he had some sort of Transformers radar built into his head (and i still suspect he does...)
