Cake or Death?
The Night Santa Went Crazy is idsturbinly hilarious, and a great song to play if you've just spent hours shopping around holiday-crazy parents. What's the word...

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is one that I have to Second. It's a family tradition to watch here in the Whitbeck home. A Black Adders Christmas if I remember was pretty good. Let's see hum.. I liked "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" original and the Jim Carey versions. The complete works of Pixar, not Christmas movies per say, but give that right feeling for the Season.

"Howdy Clark! Sh!tters full!" :rotfl::rotfl:

I just remembered a movie called "Mixed Nuts" that I saw on TV last year. That was a good one!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. You are the best!

The only christmas movie I can tolerate is "The Holiday".

But Christmas Movies wouldn't be complete in the UK without:-
"Jason and the Argonauts."

It is on every year, along with;
Mary Poppins,
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,
Home Alone
& The Sound of Music.

I'll also say Muppets Christmas Carol - without it, the season is not complete.
I made Jay watch A Christmas Story the other day, I hadn't seen it in about 10 years - it's still messed up, but funny.
I also like Bad Santa.

A weird one I remember as a kid was aussie film, Monster's Christmas. Doubt it stands up well today.

We try to watch a kids movie at the Cinema in early December to get in the festive spirit.
Recent ones have included Elf and Mr Magorium. Not sure what this year's will be.

Have fun Liz.

When Harry Met Sally

Not movies, but there are lots of Christmas specials, from the classics of my childhood (Rudolph, etc.) to newer ones like Shrek and Merry Madagascar.

Just before the end of Napster I collected loads of Blues and Jazz Christmas songs to put together some music for my dad. Lots of great original songs, many of which make excellent tonics for when you get overloaded on the classic Christmas songs. Type 'blues christmas' into Amazon's music and a bunch of albums will come up.

And as a Canadian I feel I must throw in a recommendation for Bob and Doug McKenzie's version of the Twelve Days of Christmas. :->
