nope, I mean everyone! and not just posters, all 18,000+ members of the site
But actually on topic of the thread, I actually am not all that bothered by people if they\'re not super intelligent, in whatever way you define it, I am WAY more bothered if someone just doesn\'t even try, is close minded, etc... Some of the smartest people I know are 30+something videogame geeks who have made nothing with their lives and probably never will. I\'d much rather talk to/spend time with a dumb yet ambitious/active person.

Wow if I wanted to get jumped on like this I would have posted at the WM forums.
I just wanted to lement that is it, but yet some how half of the forums took it as a personal insult and the other half look at me as a condesending Jerk (who can\' spell...lol).
Next time atleast give a guy a chance to don a Kevlar vest before you start firing shots at me.

im in a masters program (in biology), and while i might have heard of those people before, i really dont know (or care to know) anything more about them. i havent taken a class that has covered those topics for....oh.....11 or so years of continuous schooling. intelligence is all relative - and in all honesty i dont think knowing a bunch of facts constitutes intelligence in the first place. sounds like a bit of a high horse.

Beo, I think that while it\'s true your first post did have that feel of being condesendingly jerkish and personally insultingish, deep down I think we all know what you\'re talking about (all 18,000+), we\'re just too PC and full of ourselves to get past the semantic issues of just how you\'ve phrased or worded the problem to what the real issue is.
I think deep down everyone (18,000+) wants to find a partner who in some way challenges or at least matches them on an intelectual level. The struggle is finding that person. And as people have said it doesn\'t purely have to do with intelligence, there are a ton of factors which make this happen or keep it from happening. At the same time, no one really knows the girl you\'ve mentioned, and she may very well be dumb as a brick and about as fun to talk to.
So, if its not working out, move on! Hopefully the next person you meet may be a better fit.
Bottom line is I understand your pain and in my own condesendingly jerkish way, agree with you

As for Beo, me thinks the man doth expect too much. As you say your spelling is crap as is your grammar - so much for your education and intelligence!
I have bugger-all qualifications, I never went to Uni and don\'t consider myself at all well educated. However, what I lack in grey matter, I more than make up for in other ways (are we back to tits again ??? )
Just be patient and she\'ll drop into your life. I also suggest you keep your trap shut and don\'t use those oh so flattering comments you blessed us with at the start of this post and maybe, just maybe you\'ll get lucky....

been away for a couple of days and read this and to be honest I\'m merrily pissing myself...

I\'m no super brain I have several degrees and many types of scars from the good old university of life and a relatively strong general knowledge and my missus (she really won\'t mind me saying this) is pretty much Dumb as dogshit however we have a great loving relationship....How????? we share things...we give and take..we find a middle ground....she has a shit day at work I listen...she get\'s pissed off at something a character in a soap opera is doing I understand...I can\'t quite get highlighting on my NMM right she say\'s chin up you\'ll get it...Go out Golfing and have a crap game she makes me a cuppa or pours acold beer...
For two people to become one there is a period of joining and learning about each other..opposites attract because there is much more to learn about each other and this keeps things a lot more interesting...
