Well, a lot of people do seem peeved at the regime\'s perceived lack of action, both pre-Katrina and post-Katrina. This could\'ve been funny if not agreeably in bad taste.

Could have been funny?

Definitely bad taste, but I still had a good chuckle at this.

Humour is the only antidote to horror...

Eh, that\'s not talent... that\'s just an expensive/powerful program. Simple copy and paste... they didn\'t even \'Shop GW\'s glasses

That picture is so wrong on so many levels that I can only say one thing.

Young G.W. sure looks funny with blue sunglasses on, but he\'s with his dad so it\'s got to be OK I suppose.

How is this in poor taste? Aside from it being a fix-up, it\'s fairly accurate. He stayed on vacation til day 4, then went to make a public appearance in L.A. or something.

Brushlicker and Freak!
Terrible tradegy.

I\'m pretty removed from it all, but it does seem like the government response (at all levels?) was a bit of a joke, so in one way its a funny pic.

I do find peoples reactions to things like this strange though. From a professional perspective, if they rebuild NO they are insane. Abandon those bits below sea level, its only gonna get worse with rising sea levels. Anything else is stupid and irresponsible, simple as that.

A) New Orleans is a popular tourist spot of course they will rebuild

B) It would have survived the storm had Louisiana (Who incidentaly receives the highest amount of money for flood prevention) spent the government money that was given to them for the purpose of preventing flooding, on flood prevention instead of pet projects. The levies did not break, it was the inadiquate walls that connect the levies that broke. (I probably mispelled levies)

C) That place is a mad house now, people have been firing at the cops who try to get them out. People are being trampled while getting onto the buses that lead out. Not many cities are willing to accept evacuees anymore due to either overcrowding or the fact that the crimes being comited in New Orleans now (Looting, theft, murder, numerous others that I will not mention) are following the evacuees like a specter and are reaching new hights in Houston and Dallas, where many have fled too.

D) The National Guard took so long to get out there mainly because New Orleans was not the worst hit place by the storm, though it has been the most televised.

E) The president was on vacation, what did you expect him to do? Command the storm to stop? Run into an unstable place that could rightly be called a war zone now that people have split into gangs for survival against the other gangs? I\'m not particularly pro-Bush or even pro-anything, but I\'m tired of people blameing this one guy when something goes wrong.

F) If your going to photoshop a picture at least remove the reflected image of the cameraman and the open sea from his glasses.

Hehehe!

What\'s even funnier is the fact that people seem to find the reflections in GW\'s glasses most offensive!

Has to be false. He\'d have been shot or lynched for his fish in RL....
