I saw it and I quite enjoyed it. The nuke scene was very funny in a sinister kind of way and I thought the film was going to be pretty impressive after that. Altogether though, I felt Lucas tried to cram too much action into the film to cover quite a thin plot. The over-arching idea with the aliens is pretty cool if I\'m honest, and I\'ve always enjoyed the kind of stuff that Daniken, Hancock and Alford have pushed forward about ancient civilisations - as a result, I was quite excited about where the ideas might lead. In the end though, I felt the film jumped too far and the plot was stretched very thin at times. The sentimentality got a bit tiresome as well, but it\'s an adventure film after all so I can\'t complain about what I saw.

I\'d watch it again on DVD, but the template can get a bit tiresome. On the flip side, I wouldn\'t begrudge the likely \'Indy Jnr\' continuation, as the character was feisty and worth watching for.

I\'d say 6.5/10 as an overall - disappointing in some regards, but bloody good in others.

I\'m still not sure on this movie. At times it was real wonky with the thin plot and sentimental feeling. AT other times however it was classic Indy and made you remember why you always liked the character. Shia\'s acting has been getting better with each film he does and i really liked his character in the movie, other then the really really lame tarzan bit.

It wasn\'t bad. I wish everyhting didn\'t have to have the \'family\' feel to it. My wife loved it. But she has a thing for Harrison Ford.

Just got back from seeing it with the kids and I must say it is good.

The freaky ending bit was a touch over the top even for an Indy film but it\'s all good in the end.

For the record, I wouldn\'t really call the Indy films \'Action\', they are the perfect classic example of \'Pulp-Fiction\' the way it was meant to be.

I did get quite excited on the way out when I saw a poster with two people who\'s shadows were crossed like an \'X\' and I\'m fairly sure one of them was Jillian Anderson hopefully making the other David Duchovney and the poster for an upcoming X-Files movie... The poster was vague enough that I can\'t be sure but X-Files is/was my favorite TV show of all time.

Average and slightly disappointing. Lucas should just use his money to let other people make decent movies. His touch is long gone.

This film also confirmed to me how much of a pain in the arse little kids are in cinemas.

Yes MPJ there is a new X files flick coming out, June i think but might be off on that. Check Youtube and you will find a lot of leaked cam recordings of the trailer. Official movie is called X-Files: I Want to belive and yes, it\'s Mulder and Skully (However the hell her name was spelled).

I was amused by the half-termers dragging their parents out when they needed the toilet during key parts of the film . I think there were some mightily narked grown-ups missing the film that they - in reality - were only watching for themselves anyway, not the kids lol

I was with an 11- and 12-yr old as well as with the lady, and when the 11-yr old said the film was cheesey, I realised that time had moved on and Lucas had fallen short.

Just got back from cinema. An entertaining movie, not a great one. There a some inconsistency (like the car chase, sometimes they are in front, the next moment, they are behind, some the big russian truck just disappear until the ants scene ). And yep, many of the jokes are too cheesy. Just hope Lucas won\'t bring out the spin-off series: \"Shia of the Jungle\" :bouncy::bouncy:

The parents in the screening I went to just let their (little - 5 or 6 year old) kids wander out to the bogs on their own. They were also letting them stampede down the aisles towards the end of the film when they were getting bored.

Can\'t blame them for that mind. Lucas is a hopeless writer.

Apart from one tit of a family who took a baby into the cinema, I was impressed at the restraint the kiddies showed. The baby fell asleep after the trailers, bless!

The kid would never have known it was so young. It was set at 12A, so the kiddies can go with the adults. It\'s unsuitable for no reason other than babies make a farking racket!

I was amazed at the freakish teens they hire in the big cinemas these days - it\'s like an emo convention or a go-slow protest

The best of the lot was the kid with the basin haircut checking our tickets - It was like Davey Jones crossed with Cadfael. His basin must have slipped lol

Then again, I don\'t think they were particularly scared of the film. Just bored!

Working in a cinema is probably good for these Emo types - dim lighting (skin can\'t take bright, UV laden sunshine...), lots of gothy red/purple velvet drapery, black walls......
