What\'s the concensus on your initial vote on your own posted mini?
Do you give yourself a higher score than you know you deserve (only 1-2 points higher) thinking that at least you\'ll get one vote that\'s higher than the average? (or sometimes - it\'s the best you can do so you feel it\'s a 10 or a 9 to reflect that)
or
Do you vote what you really, really think it is worth?
I\'m noticing that people kinda vote in a herd. That is, if a figure is doing well, then mostly people want to help it - like if it\'s 7.7 I personally have noticed that I catch myself leaning towards 8 rather than 7. or conversely if it\'s 7.1 I lean towards 7 rather than 8. Man\'s quest for order I guess . . . note that\'s not true of me all the time but I have noticed the phenomena on occasion. And I think the motivation is that if the figgie starts out high people will roughly follow suit and lean in the direction it\'s heading.
I also noticed that if you give it a high score that is clearly undeserved (3-4 points higher) then people are VERY willing to knock you lower than it\'s probably worth. As if you want to knock some of the arrogance out of the poster, teach him a lesson, give him a 4 instead of the 6
ah . . typical 11 pm rambling as I scan the recent adds this evening . . .
