saw an early screening just now...8 pm thursday...

it\'s awesome. i think fairly true to the comics compared to previous comic films out there.

For you HUGE comic fans...YOU HAVE TO STAY TILL THE END OF THE CREDITS. IT\'S WORTH IT!!!

I\'m married to a comic fan who insisted on going to the early screening in our town. I\'m not a comic fan, and to be honest I sort of don\'t get comics and can occasionally be a little disdainful about them. I mention this to just let people know I enjoyed the movie too, it\'s not something that\'s for fans only. (Though from audience reaction at certain parts there is stuff that\'s in for the sake of the fans.) The acting\'s good, there\'s some funny parts, and it looks pretty good.

Taking the 5yo and his friend tomorrow. The 3yo might tag along, but figure she\'ll have to go to the bathroom which means we\'ll miss something.

Yeah last time I stayed to the end of the credits was Pirates of the Carribean II.
Not falling for that again.

I always liked how at the end of Star Wars, Episode Three\'s credits, there was an apology from George Lucas for destroying our childhood stories.....lol

Iron Man does indeed look great! I couldn\'t imagine a better casting of Tony Stark. I\'ll try and see it this weekend.

Sorry for the double post but i just got back from the cinema.

I stayed till the end, it was worth it! Definatly a must for those who have read the comics (staying till the end that is) and that Sheild bit really cracked me up, unfortunatly i was the only person in the cinema who laughed =/.

I liked his cars :D

Me neither, but both Kindergarteners under my control this afternoon nearly wet their pants about it.

Looks like I might have to slog through it.

And for those of you who are not comic book fans, or are dragging non-fans to go see the movie, my wife did enjoy it. Some of the jokes didn\'t make it through her translator, got confused on who was related to who, and the whys of things, but she had fun.

Hmm, acutally I hate Ironman. He\'s the most arrogant marvel hero I know. The complete opposite of what I like in personalities.
In some (most) comics I read where IM made an appearing I wish his brain tumor would grow faster... lol

But somehow...It\'s a hate love....dunno I think I\'ll have to see this movie too...*shrug*

And I fear I\'ll like it

Without posting spoilers, trust me you will like this movie ;)

RUN don\'t walk to your local theater.

Oh when I saw it last night, I saw it on a IMAX screen, not sure how much of a difference this really made but the movie was AWESOME!!!

It rocked, one of the best super hero movies out there... great acting, and the end after the credits was pretty awesome... just enough action, just enough story, great first movie to set things up for hopefully non stinkified sequels...
Now what I REALLY want to see, and they had a trailer for at the theater was Batman... omg I can\'t for July 18th!!!

Can\'t wait to see it AGAIN this week, totally brilliant and by far the best of the Marvel series of comic book films. Well done to R.D Jr who has finally shown me that he is a great actor.

Saw an early screening on Thursday night, and wow! I never expect too much from comic movies anymore, after some real stinkers like Daredevil, Electra, Emo Spiderman, etc. But hey, this one was really good! When it hits DVD in a few months, it just might be the first new movie I buy in a long time.

In fairness, I still haven\'t bought Bourne Ultimatum, which does deserve to be in the collection :D

There were some good looking trailers in the beginning, the rest of the summer looks bright. Tropic Thunder should be fun lol

Saw it today and enjoyed it thoroughly. I was always a big IM fan until the Registration Act stuff in the books, and I was completely happy with it.

Even if I don\'t like the Ultimates Nick Fury. lol

I agree with the above!

Robert Downey Jr. is as perfectly cast as any superhero has ever been!

And he is a bit of a tantalizing treat....

Check out his IMDB listing:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000375/

Notice another Superhero movie he appears in, coming in another month or so??

CROSSOVER COOLNESS!

Im sure his appearance in The Hulk wil be tiny, but will lead to an eventual Avengers movie. Captain America is also now in pre production I think.
