I\'m only in agreement with the replacing older good ones with inferoir new ones. But.. often the opinions seem to differ and they work with a certain \"look\" that oldies might not fit into.

But I have to agree with the Orks/Orcs.. I mean they have the best Orcs and goblin sculptor in their lineup.. why haven\'t Brian sculpted a single one of the new ones/new parts??? well.. maybe he\'s fed up? Hm.. actually he mostly needs to sculpt the heads as that\'s where many new sculpts are lacking.. but anatomically and posewise his were better as well.

Gw has always tried to control their place on the marketplace. it is understandable to try to make a profit but how about on good figure designs and new figures for the army? instead of changing the rules, all the figures and the army? wouldn\'t it be easier to keep the army lists as is and just add to the army and a rules update? rogue trader to 2nd ed. to 3rd ed. to 4th. Same ol gw make you need new figures and rules if you want to play official and the fanboys will continue to buy? So many of the sculptors and designers don\'t work for them anymore, most are very disgruntled. (see kev white, andy foster, chris fitzpatrick and on and on) at least if you are gonna change things keep the coolest bits in the new stuff. look how long it took them to redo the harlequins better (but I cannot speak for the rules?)

I\'m ok with the fact that they usually only update bits at a time, but I think it\'s bordering on criminal when they replace a good sculpt with an inferior version. That\'s just madness made reality by commercialism.

Just curious, which model are you referring to?

I don\'t know which he thought of, but IMO, the new demonettes are a good example, where the old demonettes are so much better than the new ones. Lots of orcs, as well. Brian Nelson\'s orcs were some of the best!

I agree with you on the daemonettes. The hair going straight up reminds of House Party and the models themselves look like really messed up post op transexuals. I looked all over for some extra daemonettes after I heard they were changing, but it seems they self-destructed around where I live.

Bloodletters, though. Now those look great.
