It snowing!!

My junior school (with it\'s 2 class rooms, yes 2!) used to close if the toilet pipes froze (they were outside). You\'d walk there, to be told to go home. 
What do you expect? This is England.

vikey you git, we here in indiana have had at least 14 inches of snow in one night....and -26 f last week. you say your glaciers are receding. i scoff at that... we have glaciers bigger than undave, lizcams, and wiccan pony\'s egos.
and i am sure soem one in canada or minnesota will bat me down next.

Yep! -26 farenheit. I didn\'t know you guys got spring so early down there.
Actually nothing to complain about here weatherwise. We\'re getting some nice temperatures, and it was even below freezing and sunny yesterday! WHat the hell?
I still think everyone here in Canada should take a minute to stand outside today, point in England\'s direction and laugh at all the whiners.

I reckon you should too lol! You ought to see the news here... we have ludicrous headlines, like \"severe weather\", \"extreme Arctic conditions sweep the UK\" etc. etc. to describe -1, -2 , -3 C temps and about half an inch of snow. Seriously the fecking place grinds to a complete halt!!

The reason the brits freeze is that they don\'t build proper houses. That goes for most of Europe too.. and that humid cold you got is a sneaky one. Here we have proper dry cold that is just about dressing properly. Sure you can\'t cry without the eyelids sticking together, but up here that\'s no problem. Depression is a way of life here, nothing to cry about.

bah! I live in a 250 year old stone cottage with walls that are 2 feet thick and more in places, it\'s as hot as hell with the heating on... seems overly well built to me

I love english cottages though! However usually the problem is not with the walls but that the ceiling is not properly isolated letting all the heat away that way, even if the heater manages you loose a lot of energy and money that way. If you have the problem anyways! Legacy Account
