Well it\'s snowing like chuff here and has done since yesterday.
This is third good haul we\'ve had this year, but if you can\'t get decent snow on top of the Pennines, what\'s the point.

Currently all lap-topped up and \'working from home\', hence me being on CMON (hey it\'s my, erm, break, yeah that\'s it)

Yup, almost 25mm here, and the roads are closing as we speak, I\'ve got to get my son from school later so a 6 mile hike is in order.
But its nice and cruncky under foot, love it:D

It\'s the UK, if we are not complaining about the Weather, we are complaining about the Govt, Taxes the price of peas.

Snow just gives us something \"Fresh\" to grizzle about. Oh and no-one really believes the weather forecasts anyway. lol

Pfft. I still laugh at what pases for extreme weather in places. Talking about cold that is!

There\'s a phenomenon over here, when it gets into winter. It sounds like a joke but the temp. on the forecast is always followed by an \"Exposed flesh freezes in (x) seconds/minutes\". When it get\'s down to -35 to -45 that usually means exposed flesh freezes in about 25-50 seconds.

Y\'know who the TOUGHEST people on the planet are? Western Canadian girls aged 12-16. Man, I see them at the bus stop at -30 and they\'re wearing mini skirts, an exposed navel, some form of \"Jacket\" that still won\'t do up or come past her exposed navel anyway. They apparently keep warm from hugging onto their plastic binders with all the \"Twilight\" stickers and scribbling on them. Maybe the small, stylish, and expensive backpacks help keep them warm too? I don\'t know.

I think the weather counts as extreme by the UK\'s standards, apparently it hasn\'t snowed this hard in the south in over twenty years!

Personally I was happy to exchange a day at the office for one spent tabogganing outside!

Yay got some decent snow for the first time in years so got to make the snowman with the little one... (well snow Dalek .. complete with plunger and coloured ping pong balls .) My son then attered seven bells out of it with his Lightsaber...... (raised at home with Dad and not Sci fi hatin mum.. what gave it away???

Yay the area I lived in actually looked quite presentable at 6 a.m

Yay first snowball fight with little one after resisting the urge to get competitive was soundly beaten and snow ended up in places that were uncomfortable..

Boo... For not remembering he dog Crap on the street yesterday hadn\'t been cleaned away by the snow just covered.. luckily didn\'t throw that snowball at him...lol

boo starting to rain a bit getting slushy and now around minus 2-3 meaning lots of ice tomorrow..

Yay laughing at all the dumb asses in the streets different car defrosting techniques tomorrow morning as they freeze their asses off in the daily trudge to work , meanwhile I sit with cup of tea Rich tea biscuits toast and cornflakes contemplating which mini to pay thebills with this weeklol

yay/boo The fact that every news station has the \"arctic conditions\" as it\'s top story.. Not the murder of a father in frontof his 3 year old , the country falling into financial ruin or the verge of mass industrial action throughout the uk.. No the snow is the number 1 news...

boo the dissappointment in the morning when the little one realises the nice soft greatfun playground he had today will be an ice filled deathtrap ...:(

Oh well gonna wait for the first pillock to say that this weather proves the ice caps aren\'t melting... Same ones that say there ain\'t any global warming when it rains in summer probably...

Remeber boys and girls, it\'s no longer \"Gobal Warming\" or \"Gobal Cooling\". It\'s now just plain \"CLIMATE CHANGE\". And just remember we as a race are the cause, and although we can not figger out how to make the switch to a digital TV signal happen on time, we are expected to be able to manage the climate of our Mother the Earth.....
