Hey everyone,

i take it you are painting it in zenthinal lighting effect ???

if so at the back i would have thought there would have been more light hitting the bottom of the cloak but thats my opinion

others may disagree but its my opinion

GreenOne

I paint my thumb.
Looks nice, I like the hair :)
I thin SG2009 is right, maybe a little more definition for the hands also, and the blade looks a bit flat/monotone.

The hair and face are fantastic!

ill hop on the more contrast wagon with these guys.. everything is really smooth, i think adding a tad more shading and a bit more highlights would make it pop!

Fantastic work on the flesh! My first thought was similar to the others, the lower back needing something. Maybe some freehand work, a simple line or double line around the edges?

I think it is strange that everyone likes the hair but I have not painted it yet. ??? Oh well...

@ flakon: ya I was thinking of doing some freehand because that is a nice flat surface to work with but I cannot think of what to put there.

@ Backstabbeth: At first I thought your name was blacksabbath. I like backstabbeth better though, very funny lol Anyways, I will add some more highlights and shadows. I think you are right. It could use a bit more of both

Thanks everyone for the input. I finished the inner clothing and will work a bit more on the cloak. If anyone has any suggestions for freehand please let me know.

EDIT: Since everyone likes the face here is the recipe:

basecoat: P3 midlund flesh

shade: increasing amounts of P3 Iridian Flesh added to the Midlund until pure Iridian Flesh

highlight: increasing amounts of P3 Ryn Flesh added to the Midlund until pure Ryn Flesh. Then a very small amount of P3 Menoth White Highlight added to the pure Ryn.

The rust on the blade looks a bit out of place, firstly because the rest of the mini is so nice and clean, and secondly because it is a ruddy reddish tone on a mini predominantly blueish, I\'d change it to a dark blue-black shading.

Coming along nice :)

I think you need some darklining between the flesh and the clothing in the neck area though.

Peace and love...

Seconded, it needs that tiny amount of depth.

Very nice, really liking the colour scheme.

Thank you for the tip! I will do that.

The beautiful thing about this mini is that since it is so tiny it is easy to correct without spending hours doing so. I will try out a colder shading color for the blade. I have never seen a bluish sword before so it will be interesting to see how it looks.

I changed the blade to look more cool. I like how it turned out. Also painted the hair and fiddled with the contrast on the cloak.
