Try using tonal washes to take it back several levels.

argh i hate it when that happens!

i agree with dr about the hair, a few thin washes should sort it

the sword looks much cooler now!

what i want to know because you have trouble with this is what are your plans for the base ???

I have tried not to think of the base lol I really have no idea. I did like the basing tutorial by Jakob Nielson so I was thinking of giving that a try. Also I have the Enigma mini Jareck the Slayer. He is a 54mm mini that I plan on painting soon but he comes with a few variations for his hands, two of which consist of a hand gripping the hair of a demonic severed head. I was thinking of placing one of those heads on the base. Although doing this would require me to most likely place blood splatters on the sword and clothing and I have never tried this so I am a bit hesitant to try it.

If this seems like a good idea let me know or feel free to make any suggestions for the base because I could definately use some advice.

Hate to add to your misery, but there appears to be another brown spot under the belt as well. I\'ll leave before I find any other touchups for you to do

Looking great. I really like the sword and the face! I, too, am interested in seeing what you will do with the base. If you try the mossy fantasy base technique of mine, I think your should consider different hues for the subtle pva-glazing of the flock. I would maybe try and tweek the look of the base in a colder direction. Possibly by adding a blue instead of brown to the pva-glaze...

I purchased some modeling paste recently so I am going to try to use your tutorial with it as by carving medium. I will probably not put clock on it though. I would like to keep it barren.
