My gaming group sorta disbanded too. I mean, some of the guys still go into my LGS to catch an occasional game,.. but mostly, we were run out by the "card-floppers" (ie MTG, yu-gi-oh,.. that sort of thing) And that was mostly because most of us mini gamers only get weekends to play, and of course, they always hold their card tournaments on the weekends,.. which mostly left us with no place to play. Plus, I'm more of a painter then a player anyways.

That's a pity! my group disbanded many years ago too, but luckily enough, I found a new group three years ago or so. They mostly play cardgames (me too, Game of thrones to be more explicit) but some of them are ex wargamers and painters too so I can met some of them punctually to play.

Now on to the thread theme:
I have found some miniatures, my aim was to paint some miniature about athena, but those I have found don't pull me to paint ;( instead I located three miniatures (all of them suppose a big challenge to me) what do you think?

I am more into the first two...
Galapagos: The messenger (as Chronos or Zeus) I think he fits the theme perfectly!
Alexandros: Brünhilde die walküre (not a goddess but fits the theme I think)
Enigma miniatures: The old Death (neither a goddess but its close!)
Yedharo models: The god of the hell (not sure if I still can buy it, but its godly looking)

Do the yedharo one, I rarely see those painted up! Or brunhilda if you can't get the god of hell there :) She's rarely seen too.

Well I'm only painting one skull with some freehand in a month.... WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? There. I have thoroughly tempted fate...

Foolish mortal...

Maenas, if I were to choose, Brünhilde die walküre in my opinion is a beautiful sculpt. The messenger is cool too.

Me I am going to do a C'tan (god) or a dragon (monster) we will see, maybe something else I change my mind impulsively with projects.

I am in.

I need a friendly kick in the pants to get me out of my painting slump. And there is a monster mini that I have been dying to assemble and paint for ages.

Which one will you be doing, the deceiver (the laughing one) or the nightbringer (the shrouded one)

The deceiver, I find it much more interesting then the other one.

Hmm... a C'tan model sounds cool... I may have to rethink my selection... Does anyone know if this model is based off of some Roman or Greek goddess? [h=1]Kreimhild's Revenge from Morland Studios[/h]

Also, I was wondering if this model was based on any kind of goddess. Thanks

I like both of them, they seem some kind of goddess to me too.
The first one seems to be the rival of the Valkirie I have posted xD --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gudrun

And thanks for sharing! I did not knew that company and they have a bunch of godesses, will have a look tomorrow ;)
