He looks good, maybe some much higher highlights on his skin, he has some harsh angles so it would look good. I like that bust but would not do sheer on her dress, she looks too sweet to wear such a garment.

Update on the bust. I did the base flesh and some shadows, but I cannot tell if it needs more. I'm still playing with the ideas for the eyes. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

Man if I could get it looking that good I would shelf it and say good to go. The eyes how they are kind of give it a beautiful creepy vibe.

OKAY since I'm working on a couple of busts ATM can I make some suggestions;
First get rid of the black round the eyes at that scale it just looks wrong. Study your own eyes in the mirror and see that the shadowing around the socket has tones of blue and green not black.
Second there are several rough patches/lumps and hairs which in 28mm would be minimal on this scale the smoothness of the sculpt is CRITICAL to be maintained.
Lastly use lots of highly diluted coats to gradually build up tonal changes.

Nice work on the giant, and pin up. The rackham guy came up nice too.
I have spent a lot of time looking at MarkCrilley's youtube channel. The link is start to finish drawing an eye and colouring, this will help you a lot at this scale.
Enjoy, you can even use coloured pencil too I know there was a write up somewhere . . . will try find it.

Update on the Kathy bust.. I have a little more clean up with the skin, but I'm pretty happy with the eyes and hair. I decided to go with a black metallic/silver for the head band and necklace and added some pearls to the necklace. Let me know what you all think.. Do I need to push the skin tone more? Was the color choice for the jewelry completely nuts? Thanks for looking..

WOW Khonner!
She jumped out at me as I scrolled down, That looks great man. The eyes are tops, I hope you're pleased I would be :)

To be picky, you could add a more highlight to the face just the smallest of areas, and small amount of shadow top of the forehead, I like the rose on the cheeks, you could add a little more (not too much dont want to loose that elegancy). a little glazing on the dress and edges were the skin meet would be good(which you probabily know already).

The hair is looking good, grab your lady and shine a light at her hair, there will be a shine to it where the light hits, see if you can replicate that shine on her too. That would top it off.

Very nice Khonner. Since the focus is the eyes (excellent) and skin (ok), i would suggest working some additional colors into the skin...some hints of blues and purples. Take a look through Milosh's wip...as i recall his Napoleon bust diid something to that effect.

Yeah, nice job. Those eyes are great. And I think the silver in the head band is really helpful. Definitely pops against that dark hair.

looks very nice sir, you are progressing nicely. I say call her done and start on the next one with the lessons you have learned in mind. TThe next one will be better but not as good as the one after that. Get brave and get to it. Nice work.
