Khonner that mini is just too funny. You definitely got a fun one to paint here. I don't understand the things coming out of the ground though what are they?

Thanks Digg.. They are like tentacles from a reaper bones monster. The base has this broken hole in the center, originally I was going to have him stand in the hold like he jumped down and crashed through it, but he didn't fit in it. So I put him on the front edge and figured that I would put these things like coming out of the hole behind him.. Not sure what they will say, but I figured it was better than just an empty hole in the middle of the base.

Ahhh good thinking. I think I would have liked to see them come out over him...her....it. Is it to late to try your hand at sculpting and making those tentacles longer?

I found you! *sets up another camp and digs in*

Now that is an absolutely fabulous mini and must've been so much fun to paint! Where's she from?

Shading on the skin is looking good. The red on the corset on the back could maybe do with a mid tone highlight - it's a little flat. But to be honest I had to look for something. But I would've liked to have it mentioned.

Great job in general. What's next? :D

I've been working on my War Wagon. Been working with the subtracted weathering technique for the rusting using chipping medium. What do you guys/girls think so far? Thanks.

I like it. Think it looks cool and authentic. Perhaps some increased contrast in areas, especially the red part, will tie things together nicely. But I realize this is a difficult task on a large flat surface, and using red no less is a challenge.

I'm definitely looking what you've done so far. :) You haven't gone overboard with the rust/weathering which makes it look more authentic.

"Wondergoban" looks fun ^^

Warbagon looks cool because that chipping technique gives it little texture that makes it look more real.

Got back from NOVA on Monday. It was a good time, great classes by the Massive Voodoo guys. I cannot wait until next year. I entered the Capital Pallet, but only my firefighter bust placed 2nd in the large historical. I'm pretty happy with that. The level of work this year was over the top. I definately need to up my game with the next pieces. I have put the firefighter up for voting...
