I appreciate the feedback! Here's an update on the War Wagon.. Got most of the crew finished. I'm re-doing the scattergunner pyg. The first attempt was a dark grey skin tone that didn't look right at all. All that's left is the buffaloes, base and lots and lots of weathering. Feedback welcomed! Thanks!

Here is the repaint of the scattergunner pyg. I think the skin needs something, but I cannot put my finger on it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Khonner. I think the skin needs some more obvious shading and highlighting. I'm not sure if the picture has washed it out slightly, but it seems like you've been too subtle with both.

Some more updates.. I have a little bit more to tweek on Lynessa, the ground needs some paint..

And here's my war wagon.. Not sure about the brighter mud, I might hit it with some darker brown inks.. What do you think? Thanks.

Love the paint on the elf. The wagon is great too!. Now... her base. WTF is that?! You clearly mailed it in. What were you going for? Do you need inspiration or advice? You simply can't do such a nice job on her and leave the base like that. You are better than that. You know how i know? Look at the base on the wagon! So good! You try again on her base there, sir. You. Try. Again. -_-

Yeah! Only I am allowed to base mini's with such simplicity haha. Lynnessa does look bad ass though. You did an amazing job with color choices on her, and I might steal them too :p. Wagon is just all around good bud.

Thanks guys..

Relish green flock ain't thing anymore?!?! :dont-know: Actually, rest easy Zab.. That's only the start of the base work for her. I needed to use the same material to get the same effect as the display base I'm working on.. That horrid green will become brown... Here is an example of what I'm talking about.. It's an insert base - There will be more grass tuffs of various colors and I need to add some soot and a few other things..

This weekend is the MMSI show here in Schaumburg, I'm actually going to be entering some pieces, so hopefully I will do well. I want to pick up some more of the scale75 paint sets as well as a few historicals if they catch my eye..

The warwagon and the elf look fantastic! The cracked earth base looks very nice too. I would also like to know how you did that.

Thanks all.. This weekend was the MMSI show in Schaumburg, IL. I joined the group this year and this was my first time entering some pieces. I entered the painter's fantasy and historical categories. I was hoping that my war wagon would be considered for the ordinance category, but it was moved to fantasy. My firefighter bust and the orc bust "Pop-eye" from WAMP got me bronze metals, so I'm very happy with that. The level of competition was crazy high and some of the diaramas were incredible. Here is a link to my pictures from the show - http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/Khonnerdbehr/library/MMSI 2015

Congratulations! That's one of the big shows in the US, so the standard is always high. It's great to see everyone else's work in person. I find shows like that are really helpful, you can see what the pieces that got silvers and golds did and work towards that for next year. And thanks for sharing the photos!

Congrats!!! I bet it's nice to get that recognition at a big show like that! I missed an IPMS show this weekend. I would have been a dead ringer for fantasy and sci fi, but It was the first weekend were there was nothing happening, so i rested. I might have missed the show but i won the award for most naps and tea consumed :p
