Just a little post warning about my experience with Kraken Editions I figured this was the best place to write about it, so hopefully others can make an informed decision.
I ordered Jeremie\'s painting DVD, and the Baby Kade miniature back on 8/10/08
and paid for them the same day.
Not in a hurry for them I figured they would reach my door in the UK whenever the guys running the store had time to get things cast up and had time to fix any regionalisation bugs with the DVD.
I sent them a follow up email on 3/11/08 to enquire about the order status as I had not received anything and got this response:
“Hi Ben,
in fact, there were a technical problem ; your order has been shipped 29 of October, and not 18 as said in our online shop.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
Regards.
Vincent.
Kraken Editions.”
Fine I thought. Although in hindsight alarm bells should have been ringing as they waited for me to chase the order, instead of being professional about it and notifying me on the 29th when they realised there was a problem.
I still haven’t received anything, so now I am thinking that I was lied to about the dispatch on the 29th. A supposition corroborated by the fact that they are now refusing to reply to any of the emails I have sent to them.
I requested tracking information so I could see where things might be in the system, but they haven’t replied, I have requested a refund but no joy.
My experience dealing with this company can be described as ‘dismal’
