I like the addition of the green around the perimeter of the eye, butit seems to need toning down as it seems a little fluorescent in spots.

love the believable skin spots.

This Weekend that was I attended 08 Open in Stockholm. I did decent´t for my first show that I attended. On the fantasy part Rogland took the 5 first spots (not surprised) but next year some of us will try to give him some competition :)

In another category called figures there was 2 really nice model's. One knight on horse and a Viking sculpt that was scratch build ( I wouldn´t mind to buy a copy of it if it is available) Picture of them below. Sadly I didn't get who have painted them in my pictures. In any case a very nice job I am impressed. Posting them here since I think you all would appreciate too look at them.

Small update, Have made some progress on some swooping hawks that been laying around forever, have 12 of them to paint and aiming for a good tabletop standard. they should not take more then 4 hours to paint each of them (that is very fast for being me.) I guess I might fail but not sure. Used around 3 hours each on this ones so far just painting not counting assembly.

Some more on the way. Not so much time today to paint thou. this are a little bit sharper pictures on a white background easier to see the transitions that are not so smooth but on gamin length they look good.

Very nice, Kretcher. Great colors and I really like the effect you've got on the base. Seems very fitting for the eldar.

Oh, and thinks for sharing those pictures from the show. While I'm not sure who painted those, I do recognize the mounted knight sculpt. The sculpt is by Michael Kontraros and it is available from his website in case anyone is interested:

Thanks Bailey, I am intrested since I liked the sculpt. also read on your page I think that you had bought the figopedia. An excellent book and helped me a lot with color choices and the way I think about it.

Had some time yesterday to "finish" the first set of 6 Swooping hawks, now have 6 more to do. I still have eyes and gems to fix but will do it on all 12 models when they are ready. I am actually happy with how these turned out, especially to be fast painted (atleast for me around 3 hours of work on each figure). Also getting better at this new technique for me with two colours on one brush to speed things up with, sometimes I do make mistake and then you need to redo that area.

But very fun to practice it, I picked it up from the painting buddha videos, great source for inspiration and learning (http://www.paintingbuddha.com/)

I like the combo of colours, Green/Bronze is for me like Blue/Silver and Red/Gold. I think they are made to go together ^^
And I see some shine on the bases, is that some kind of water effect? It looks pretty good too.
You are painting them pretty fast!
