There are a few people that are levelling up on this site in a big way and I would argue that in the last couple of minis or so you have made one of the biggest leaps forward. You are moving toward that ' great ' category that many of us aspire to.
excellent work mate, you should be very proud. I'm also not sure about the give away, this should take pride of place as one of your breatkthrough pieces.

Having painted the Wyrd mini long ago, I know that the face and particularly the neck construction can be challenging, and I had the same problems back then keeping things smooth. I do believe her hair is the focal point of this mini and you did a great job here. You also did great with the sheer effect on her knees. I used sheer in a few more area, like the back of her skirt, that you may want to consider. Personally, when doing sheer I tend to mix the skin tone with the fabric color, rather than painting the clothing and then glazing on the skin tone. This works best for me, not sure which of the two methods you used but your minimalist approach looks great.

I am currently jumping between figures a lot, but have decided to paint what inspires me for the moment and just now I wanted to test to paint Jeans. I started Santiago from Malifaux and got some work done, will properly continue tomorrow if there is time.

Critique and suggestions for improvement are always welcome, will put some more time into this figure then I have done lately on other ones.

Gandalf is right. I think you can go lighter but also maybe paint some texture as well. The colour is pretty much bang on though. Looking nice

Looking a lot better mate. I hate to say this but have you caught the curse of AndyG, is that a mold line running down his left thigh ?

Also to give some perspective a pic with the figure besides the picture where you found the mould line. I can honestly say I haven't seen it, when I look at it now I don't think it is a mould line in traditional sense, it seems to be small part that is lower then the rest, If I had seen it I would have fixed it with some putty.

:) :) :) below for your enjoyment.

Small update (Mould line still there ;) )

Have added some other colors to get a feel of the figure and started on the face. Not sure of the yellow but might keep it.

I like the yellow...throw a yellow stripe down the pants and you would have an homage to a cavalry warrior.

Have not had so much time for painting last week, but done some more work on the face and also added glazes with some kahki/yellow tone on the jeans to make them a little bit softer in the light areas. Will leave the face for now, just some glazes later on when the rest of the figure is done, Might also make the chin a little bit darker and some of the transition to the "red" areas less sharp. but we will see.

Those jeans really are excellent, no denying what you have aimed for and got it spot on. What about some sort or checkered pattern on the neck scarf ?
