I love this mini! The blending is very nice on the skin. I enjoy how cool the front mini looks and the warmth of the back. I do not know how you do your gold but the change of color is amazing.

Fair do's Kretch, that is awesome. Really atmospheric, and as USMC said, the tone shift on the gold is sublime.

in regards to the gold I started out with some browns and yellowgold colors and then I did use wetblending/glazes to get some red, green, purple and blue into the "base color". When that dried I proceded to make the higlight areas and where it was needed i did some more glazing mostly some very light yellow in the lighter areas but also touchup of some of the purple, blue greens and so on where it was needed.

The light areas or shines was build upp with tiny strokes of the brush leaving a textured higlight which was done to simulate threads, since i wanted it to be cloath with golden threads sawn into it. I like the effect and think it is good enough for what i wanted.

Here is a close up picture to easier see what i did.

I am arranging a painting course with Dmitry Fesechko is teaching us to paint with oilpaints, really happy with the first day, but very tired since it very diffrent to paint with oils and a lot to learn. Still we have made a lot already during the first day it feels like. Below the result of first day of painting. One and a half day left.
