now it\'s time again!

I have finally got my WD aniversary miniature! after months of waiting (might have exagurated a bit there :innocent:) I have finally got it in my mailbox.

now.. when I opened it I noticed that the base was very small for to miniatures to be placed on it... so I\'m doing them as single characters :)

this first one that I\'m working on is Gotrek. he is a possible entry for GD... I haven\'t quite decided.. yet...

I\'m also working on Grombrindal and Bugman alongside Gotrek.

there was some things that I needed to do before I started working on Gotrek that might be intresting to know..

first of all, I had to bend the \'mane\' (don\'t quite know the word for it, please inform if you know). and I had to resculpt the front of it from the middle.

and the hand was stuck under the shield... so I had to resculp that part aswell ^^

anyway, enough talking, here are the pics!

any advice one bettering up the scars would be extra nice ^^

Great work Larre, i love the tattoo.

For the scar you may want to make it slighly redder i.e. add a wash of a light red (GW blood red) over the area to make the edges stand out bit more.

keep us up to date with your progress.

if you are talking about Gotreks hairdo then yes it is a mohawk....very popular with the punks of the 1980\'s aswell as the mohawk tribes of North America for thousands of years.

Good start to a crap mini IMO, would be nice to see the hand convo, but the black primer obsucures the details, I suppose il have to wait until you paint it to see. Im sure it will turn out great as usual in the end.

For the scar I would put touches of purple around it and lighten the raised part to bleached bone/elf flesh mix if it is a fresh scar.

For an old scar, take a look at this:

Iv had this scar a few year, and its started to brown around the edges and go a purply red mix in the center, with a few \'flesh tones\' streaked in.

Chicks dig scars :]

edit: I can\'t agree with you less that it\'s a crapyy mini though... I think it can turn out really cool when it\'s finnished ^^

Was BMXing on a mates bike and the handlebar twisted round and stuck about an inch deep into my thigh (its right next to my nether region!) but if the kid had handle bars plugs none of this would have happened. Gggrrr kids these days!

what are you best at??

Do the opposite to keep improving.Ive recently just been doing real metallics instead of NMM to keep improving

Yay, A new WIP by Larre :)
Makes me wish they had a WD day where i am ( dont exactly feel like paying $100 for him on ebay just yet).
Great work so far, the tatoo is fantastic and you have a great skin tone going, keep it up.

let me first say that I know about the scratch on the eyebrow, and that the mohawk is far from finnished. so you don\'t have to comment that ^^

larre,

i am not feelign the skin tones on this. it could be the photography but it just seems to bland. the skin has too much of a purplish glow to it. have you been doing purple washes? if so i would reccomend lightening it up a bit. just something to consider.

very nice so far. imo i would highlight the top of the scar with a litghter color looking too red so far. again imo. tats and hair look good. beard looks like it could be highlighted again dunno maybe the pics.
oh and dunno if its done but teeth look good also.??? weird didnt think i would ever say that .lol

I think you have got the skin pretty good too, but you need to get them scars in a lighter color, unless you have an infection you will not have that red a color in a scar. Don\'t suspect that\'s what you are aming for.:D.
I actually think the color you had going in the beginning was much more true, but it will work to with the darker shade in the edges too.
