thx guys! :D I really apreciate the comments :)

I have another update of the troll guy. the belt is still very messy. and some other parts aswell are not quite finnished.
I thought I should do some dammage to the tabbard since it is a troll. (and not a perfect and clean alkohol-soaked dwarf)
the shoulderpads are far from finnished.
as you can see there is quite alot of work that yet has to be done. but this is what I have done so far :)

the warboss is also finnished, but the bateries to the camera has run out of energy. so you will have to wait untill I have some more batteries (wich probably is next week)

anyway. I really hope you like it :)

The troll is coming on well. I don\'t think there is any problem with the teeth myself, they match up with the in game character well. In fact the whole head does a good job conveying what is in the screenshots.

One thing that you may want to consider in future when you are sculpting - work out the basic volumes of the model before you start to add detail. By this I mean you should lay down the basic musculature of the torso, shoulders and arms, and only once you have this to a level that you are happy with should you start to work details like clothing and armour over the top. You\'ll end up with a much more solid, real and layered model because the final visible elements will sit more naturally on the basic work you have layed out.

Thx Lono, I\'ll think about that next time I\'ll do a mini ;)

I have finnished my warboss now, and I have got some betteries! :D

It\'s all coming together well. The pics are a bit blury, so it\'s difficult to get a really good look, but his pose and the details seem to do a good job of replicating the inspiration.

One thing I can spot is that you need to tidy up the edges of the cloth hanging between his legs.

Looking forward to seeing the final details added. Are you going to use something different to Green Stuff for the weapon head? Perhaps a harder sculpting material that will let you file and carve it easier so it has sharper edges?

no, I\'m afraid that I have only GS to work with. I have started on the spear head today. I hope to finnish it tomorrow.
I might add a few details. some things hanging from the beslt for example :p

anyway, I\'m glad you like it :)

I heard that you want some updates of my dwarf.
I have some, but I must say that I got a bit... not really bored, but distracted by the troll.

I\'m not very pleased with it (mostly because of the hair)

anyway, here we go :)

now the troll sculpt is finnished :D
it took me about 2 weeks to finnish them.
this is the absolute best sculpt I have done so far. it\'s my second atempt at a 54mm scale mini.

the bow is a bit oversized, but I think it will look okay anyway ^^

here we go.

as you can see it got a bow instead of a spear, I think it looks better since he is a hunter, and plus that the sword turned out really bad :(
I will remove the string when painting it, and I will reattach it when it\'s painted :)
the hole in the fish is supposed to show the hole where the arrow hit it.

I have started painting it a bit. (I have painteds the head)

anyway, I really hope you will like it :)

You finished that quick enough didnt you! Fantastic work there larre, cant wait to see him painted up.
The only minor thing i can see is the bow could have used a little smoothing out, but apart from that great work, specially for your 2nd sculpt at this scale.

Bow is big yes, but he also looks like a big-things-kill-big-things-better kind of ehhh..... person? :innocent:
It looks big to in the gameshots so thats OK.
Painted pics please

thx manus :)

I will post some pics as soon as it\'s finnished :) I don\'t know why... but everytime I paint something I have made myself it always appears to turn out... not very nice.

I have started painting, and there are some parts that I am quite pleased with and some I\'m not.

I will post some pics the coming week. since it has to be finnished before saturday.. unfortunately =/ so I don\'t get as much time as might have wanted :(

Sorry I haven\'t commented yet Larre, been very busy ;)

Anyway...I\'m really impressed! The sculpting is great as you probably know, especially for one of your 1st sculpts. The head on the belt really stands out to me, that is one of my favourite bits.

However the, bow seems a bot rushed to me if I\'m honest...The string just looks like it is stuck on, when in fact it should be stringed by a loop and a notch or by other means.

Example

In that picture you can see that there are two loops attached around two notches, so they don\'t slip off the bow.

But I have to say I really like the model and looking forward to seeing it painted! (Oh yeah and the dwarf is coming along great too ;) )

Cheers,
Tom

thx for your comments guys :)

I have painted the model and I am waiting for the camera. it\'s at my dad\'s work atm... (I thnk ???)

I haven\'t been painting much serious stuff lately (exept for the troll).

I have been painting some on a bestlord. (NMM)

and yes Tom. I think I might have rushed the bow a bit (unfortunately). but I think the whole model looks quite good when based and all.

and I\'m not very pleased with the shoulderpads. it\'s alot bigger in the screenshots I noticed when I was painting them.

anyway... I hope to be able to post some pics either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

maby maby I might find the camera at home and take some pics tonight :)

Nice sculpt.

I can see a lot of potential, you just have to be a bit more methodical and in some areas more patient, but those are things that will come with experience. I too am very impressed with the human head on the belt.

I sure as heck couldn\'t sculpt that well at your age. Keep it up :)
