HI everyone!

I have decided, that I will make this the place for all my WIP\'s from now on.

I just started a warrior priest I think that the mini is an awsome sculpt

please give me some advices and feed back

the seals on his leg is not finnished. I will probably repaint them. I might also repaint the arms. I am not very pleased with them :no:
but the rest is finnished.

I think the book looks good and the OSL idea is great - maybe would have benefitted from an illuminated first letter (think that\'s the right term for it). The right sleeve could be a bit smoother but its a great start.

So the book is somehow made to glow by magic ???

I dunno, it just doesn\'t look \'natural\' even for a fantasy model. I can find glowing swords and eyes feasible but not a jumble of papers. Sorry but it is my honest opinion.

I think it looks very promising so far. The shadows on the non lit arm look a bit too dark in my opinion.

@fist of mortis: It\'s a warrior priest carrying the holy scriptures of Sigmar. It\'s probably been blessed to high hell, and contains all sorts of prayers, incantations and wardings. I see no reason for it to not be able to glow.

now... here is the thing. I have just repainted the clothing and I have also painted the legs.
I have also painted som on the paper on his chest. but that didn\'t look very good, so I will repaint that. and I will also paint some bigger capital letters in the beginning in the book. so I have some paintjob to do tonight. I think I can mannage to update later tonight
I will probably not add any lighteffects on the mini tonight though.

yeah, the book has some holy scribings an runes in it to make it glow, I found that idea in the browse gallery ^^

anyway... I\'m glad you like the most of it so far

I have repainted the cloth, I still have some cleaning up to do. there is some \'watery\' lines from glazes

Looking good. A small critique is that the blue light on top of his head looks a little bright. i would have expected it to be less blue here, especially when you compare it to his upper arm.

To improve the glow of the book (great idea) have the uppermost page be pure white, the lettering be a light to medium blue. Use a real vivid blue (pthalo blue is a good one) and put a blue/black wash over the rest of the fig - where the light isnt shining.

Love what you\'ve got so far. it would look good to have a large red letter in the top lhs of the book but it still looks awesome the way it is.

Look for Phthalo Blue in the art section of a good craft store. This is a pretty standard color for canvas painting.

There are a lot of good stores online you could purchase from, probably find it in a craft store faster though.

okay, I have been working some on this mini now. and I have mannaged to make another update

as you can see i have repainted the cloth on his chest. I think it turned out better than before and I put some lights effects on that aswell
I also made some small light effects on the hammer head. to make it look like it shines.

I have sone the chainmail this morning, but I think I will paint some more before next update... so that you have more work to comment ^^

also I will mention that this is what you could call a training piece before a highelf
conversion... I\'m still thinking of what to do with it

but that time will come later in mars probably

It all looks great, except for the fact that the light source (the book) doesn\'t actually seem to be giving out light. You really need to get some glow from the letters to sell the OSL, but the illumination on the mini itself is really good.

now I have repainted the book. and I think it looks better than before imo.
I think I will clean up the shield a bit and and most of the metals actually.
