OK, I know she\'s kind of saturated the site lately, so this is my last post on her, promise!

But for everyone who asked for a shot of her other side and a close up of the base, I\'ve included it all in this post

I see that maiden has taken your ranking up a fair few places, keep on painting like that and you\'ll soon be number 1 (anyone know who is number 1). That ones a definete in my favorites listed :D.

wow it really boosted your ranking, i guess you will be around 20 or 15 with the second post
nevertheless its a 10, no matter how often you post this :)
its obvious that the 2nd post was made to show different views of it and not to climb up in the rankins, so i hope not many 1s will be given :)
edit: the old maiden down on 9.4 ... thats insane! ( to say nothing of allan c scoring it an 8 )

Well what did you expect? Its not a space marine. lol

I think allan has some valid points and he\'s entitled to his opinion (I actually agree with him, the blending could be smoother), but for me that doesn\'t detract enough for this to be anything but a 10. I guess for him it does, at least he\'s backed up his score with a comment, unlike those damn snipers...

Well, I think it\'s pretty awesome...I was astounded the first time I saw the base...it took me a few double-takes to realize that it was painted on...however, (and there is always a \"however\") I don\'t know if it\'s a ten. I think it deserves to be in the top ten, but then, I\'ve seen tons of minis that deserve that honour...My biggest quibble would be the blending. On the whole, it\'s great, but there are bits that could definitely be refined.

The close up didn\'t help too much either, as there are wierd \"blurry spots\" on parts of her robe.

I agree, in general my blending can use work, but I think it\'s getting better!

But I don\'t know what this piece deserves score wise, and I don\'t know if it belongs in the top 10 here, although all the possitive feedback has been so flattering and overwhelming.

The one thing I do know however, is that I can do better, and one day I will, you\'ll see! :bouncy:

She\'s amazing. I wouldn\'t be surprised if bases with reflections became a new trend many artists would want to try -- like Victoria\'s source lighting, for example.

I know I have all kinds of ideas about ways to use mirror reflections in the future :)

I can\'t wait to see what other people do with it as well!

I\'d love to give it a try one day. As for the submission scoring so high -- well, you invented a whole new concept, and things like that definitely deserve top scores.

Although an \"eric-base\" doesn\'t really have a ring to it...I guess Victoria didn\'t get her name included in the light sourcing name...

okok, I think it\'s time for me to get to sleep, I think I\'ve stopped making much sense.

34 votes and a perfect 10, now that really does have to be some kind of record. It\'ll probably get hammered tomorrow when it gets verified though...

if you want to enter something in the GD competition PLEASE do a vampire fighting a human (or seducing one ;) ) in front of a mirror and ... you know what i mean, dont you?
i would do it instantly but it would look totally ridiculous :D

First of all, this piece is simply amazing. You\'ve developed a great new concept which will probably be copied by others in the near future.

Honestly though the thing that amazes me the most is your \"humbleness\" about the whole thing. I like your attitude as much as your painting. I think your new ranking will be well deserved and I look forward to seeing more work from you in the future.

@Joshua, along those lines (although not for a GD) I saw this mini in a whole new light thinking about using a mirror in the diorama

Although I think my ability to freehand a naked woman in a mirror may not be there yet :(

Of course I couldn\'t use it for a GD, HOWEVER, I have what I hope is an even better idea than that, straight out of the 40k world, I just have to figure out how to pull it off.

@Grumb Thank you for the kind words, the funny thing is my biggest worry has been that I was coming across with a big head or ego about this all. Hell, just like everyone I still lick my brushes one at a time. :D
