Holland sucks... Miniature-wise :)

Even in Utrecht where I live there is no more besides the odd GW seling stores (there were quite some things there a while back). If you want something besides GW you had better order online.

I really cannot understand why there is no store carrying an extensive miniature line in Holland. Utrecht, being smack in the centre of Holland would qualify best I\'d think....

But I know for a fact that there are some plans to reintroduce minis in Holland again. Hope it will be sooner than later.

But come on Ming.... You are reallyplanning on going to the fair this year? Haven\'t you heard that commerciality reigns supreme now? Probably nothing miniature related anymore. I wouldn\'t be found dead there this year.

I am doing some seminars/workshops on painting and sculpting on 23/24 april in Eindhoven though....

Maybe nice to meet up there?

Maybe maybe....

Though it makes me sad.I can\'t really say for sure beyond myself, but I experience different periods in my minis. For some time I only do minis to the exclusion of everything else. Then for some time I almost do nothing on them. Right now I am on a minis-low.
But it seems that I am not the only one: I get the feeling that there is a general fall in minis at the moment. Drops in eBay sales, drops in minis companies sales. Weird.

I know what you mean! For the last 6 months I\'ve only been converting some things but haven\'t found the mood for painting them.:(

Actually, Cindy and I ran into a store will Ral Partha minis earlier this year. It\'s at a gamestore. Not Elf fantasy or the other one that has been around for ages but the third one (or fourth since one of the other stores has two shops).
There are only two other stores I can think of that have non-GW stuff. One in Maastricht (vlieg er uit - GW, Rackham, last time I was there) and Nijmegen (not sure what the name is. GW, Rackham, RP).

Depends. A friend of mine wants to go there with his kids. I\'m not going for minis in case you\'re wondering.

You beter check the status of that. I talked to the owner of gamestore this saturday and he complained about lack of interest (or actually people willing to pay the cost of entry) and therefore funds. From the sound of it there is a good chance he\'ll pull the plug on it. If it works out, sure let\'s meet up. Or afterwards in a bar.
By the way, Cindy and I also have a sculpting workshop planned. We intend to do this at the gamestore later this year and we intend to make it more of an in depth course. So, not an emphasis on \"how do you sculpt a mini\" but on learning how to handle putty and tools, what you need to learn and production sculpting. Cindy is a trained art-teacher so we\'ll be making use of that to set up a program. This would be a nice follow up on your demo.

Bye, Ming-Hua
