Living without a kitchen

Takes me and my dad about a week for a kitchen. It depends how much plastering needs doing, but to make the actualy cabinets for a whole kitchen only takes about a day...

We had a conservatory made a few years ago.. the guys actually tried to charge us before it was finished... silly fools... the soon changed their company name after that...

i fitted my own kitchen from scratch in 2 weeks whilst having a full time job and that included plumbing and everything!
that said we did live without a kitchen for about 6 months and no cooker for about 12 months before we got to that stage - oh and we had 1 tap in the house that worked.
we cooked loads with a steamer and healthy for you too - always worth having one

Yeah right have you seen the weather here in Wales today???

Its living up to its usual reputation :(

:D Liz and I will try to think up a plausible excuse for the English Navy to invade San Diego, where one can BBQ outside 9 months of the year :drunk:

Why go to San Diego apart from you two being there :D

When I go back in two weeks time (this first week is nearly over) I can BBQ all year round even when its raining its still way warmer than the UK :D and man does it rain when it does it doesn\'t come down by the bucket it falls out of the sky by the skip load lol but its warm rain and makes puddle jumping so much more enjoyable :D

I feel like a bit of a fraud for not doing the kitchen myself now! lol. It\'s a small part of the whole though, or roughly a quarter anyway. It\'s going up against the work of professionals, so I think it\'s best done by the carpenter and not left looking like road kill after a mangling by me :).

I wouldn\'t. Parts of that kitchen are mine, parts are friends in the trades that would work for beer. The cabinets were hung professionally. If I could have afforded it, I\'d have had it all done - and been done with it much faster.

Thanks all for the comments. I\'ve got to get some pics of it complete, but Ms. Air seems to think that is her room now and she wants her \"tools\" out on the counters...
lol

But I\'m not complaining.
