adding my prays and condolences to the victims and their familys...........I was watching the news and saw a video of people walk across a bridge, trying to get home, it remind me of people doing the samething in 9/11... made me cry

Hey guys...
A little bit close to home for me... I worked right by where the bus exploded. Literally right there... If I hadnt followed my heart and moved to Devon to be with Tracy then I would have been sat at my desk looking out the window at the bus as it expoloded.
Its all pretty upsetting to be honest, and even though all my family and my friends are unhurt and safe, it is still a real shock. I am just glad that I managed to escape the horror first hand!
My thoughts and prayers are with the injured, their loved ones and the families of the dead.

Avicenna - holy %&&$#! That\'s amazing. Maybe you would have been in the loo or getting coffee when it went off though - it was morning... but just not being there anymore was a lucky strike!
Not to get all political, but one really sad thing about terrorism (apart from all the hurt people) is that terrorists often have legitimate political complaints. They have just chosen the most absolutely stupid and evil way possible to express those complaints.

I tend to think, and I do sincerely hope that the SAS and Delta Force will be some very busy boys in the near future.
I know I haven\'t been around much, but I wanted to check in and hope that everyone is safe. I\'m still trying to find out about one friend of mine who I haven\'t heard from, yet.

What really bothers me is the lack of an agenda. Sure, the IRA had one when they were blowing people up. And, yes, I suppose Al-Qaeda has one, to get foreign troops out of iraq and afghanistan, but what comes after that?
I look at the world i\'m living in now, and part of me starts to die. People are blowing each other up, and shooting each other, with both sides believing god is with them. He can\'t be on both sides, can he?
In war, people die. It\'s an immutable fact. But the geneva convention prevents you or I from being the targets of aggression, as non-combatants. Why, then, do these terrorists feel justified in the slaughter of random people?
If I went to Iraq, picked up a phone book and chose 37 names at random, then went and killed them, I\'d be a serial killer. But because of a man\'s faith, he becomes a holy warrior? Where\'s the logic in that? Where\'s the justice?
The worst part is that the religion used to be beautiful. It was a religion of scholars, of craftsmen. Muslims were responsible for some of the first pieces of blown glass, truly beautiful stuff. \"God\'s peace be upon you\" used to mean something.
I\'m sick with rage right now, so feel free to ignore me. This is just my opinion.

Of course they say that, because your friends are good people, not murderers. All the Islam=terror bulls&&t is just that - lies and fearmongering by racists and zealots.
Aw crap that was politics
I want to see Islamic Leaders shouting outrage over this. There were some that spoke out when 9/11 and Madrid happened. By keeping quite they appear to be silently condoning this sort of behaviour. No sane person would believe that this sort of behaviour is correct.
This event is the reason Troops are in the Middle East fighting these people and their allies. Honestly I would rather have soldier fighting these battle over there than Law Enforcement and rescue people here.
Osama and his ilk have just sent the world a reminder. Unfortunatly this sort of thing will happen again because there are plenty of people in this world that give these animals aid, comfort, and shelter. I have to say that I am thankful for all of these sort of things that have been prevented due to hard work and effort of all of out law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

They can shout until they\'re blue in the face but it a) won\'t stop terrorism, and b) won\'t appear on CNN. Some Moslem clergy have condemned acts of Islamist terror in the past but it gets scant media coverage in the West. Why? Because some old beardy guy saying \"Terrorism is bad, Allah hates it!\" doesn\'t grab eyeballs like footage of an angry mob burning the Stars & Stripes and chanting \"Death to America!\".
Also keep in mind that Islam does not have a Pope-like leader and thus there can be no centrally agreed-on dogma regarding ANY Moslem issue.

It sucks that the media is controlled by anyone. The press is free, but the operational costs for a newspaper are hideous.
I like to be generally just left alone. I don\'t bother other people, I tend to just do my thing and let others do theirs. It makes me very angry to see people treating each other with disrespect and violence, and I have a world class temper. I pity the next person to raise their voice to me. (Kinda bad, since they\'ll probably be someone who can cut off my unemployment benefits.)

I often have to travel to London for meetings, as does a lot of my team, but thankfully none of us were there yesterday. Our London Office hasn\'t reported anyone missing either. What was somewhat worrying was my cousin works in Canary Wharf and the police apparently shot dead a suicide bomber trying to get into that area. Glad everyone we know seems to be OK. My heart goes out to all those affected though and Avicenna, that was a close call dude!

It is a terrible tragedy, and no words can describe how much I feel your pain, Londoners. Living in a city that\'s been under numerous terrorist attacks and having a family and friends in London. I sincerely hope the injured will heal fast ...
