Really enjoy the mint green on the underside of the cloth compared to the beige/off white you usually see. Makes a super nice contrast toward the bottom with the mint green -> blue -> dark green combo. The transitions on the armor are great as well. Always impressed at how much contrast folks are able to achieve in such small spaces.

One week on the beach means one week without painting. But finally back!

Gold on the hilt:

The sculpting of the aquila was a bit "strange", struggled a lot with it, especially on the inside, and the lines on the inside of the wrist are awfully thin:

And trying to paint the outer side of the force sword, I not really liked the sculpted details, either (colors are same as on the other palm):

Yep looking sweet LL, some lovely contrast and tones on this... strangely that tabard really does it for me though.

(agree with you on that weird sword moulded pattern though, doesn't seem to fit the rest of the model)

Thank guys!

As this is a Dark Angel Librarian, I wished to add some dark green, and the tabard and cloth seemed to be the best place to me, as I do not think I could find a good metallic dark green color combo for the shoulder pads (if you check the first photos, you can see that they were based to green).
I just accidentally found the VMA Duck Egg Green as muted green highlight. My other choice would have been some muted light green, VMC Lime Green + VMC Medium Sea Grey. I tested them, they are a bit too dark, but adding some VMC Ivory (1:1:2 LG:MSG:I) resulted a color very similar to the Duck Egg Green.

But I could paint some more, here is the almost ready backpack:

Painting the spheres still a PITA, took me a lot of time, and found a small mold line on one of them, had to scratch it down and paint it again. :(

Thanks, guys!

In the spring I planned to build a base from scratch, and putting Turmiel against a GSC Patriarch/Broodlord.

This base looks about fine, maybe repainting it as I used too much weathering powder, but I feel that it does not look good enough to put my librarian on it. (Anybody has any suggestion how can I improve it to make it worthy)?

So instead I kept it simple, dragged some DA logo, printed and repainted it in ~3 hours (this is just some sketch, of course):

Issue with it is that a bit bright and saturated, and the mini is kind of lost on it.
- Should I mist it with my shade color (Armor Brown + Black)? Or with some dark grey?
- Should I repaint it with muted and darkened colors (adding some dark grey to each color)?
- Should I some random mosaic pattern?

Anybody having some suggestion or some experience with this kind of problem?
