I think it\'s fantastic that there\'s a scratchbuilt category because there are truly fine sculptors out there and I love seeing their work.

It is a guide not a fixed set of rules!!! A guide which was written a looooong time ago. Perception changes, techniques advance, new techniques come up, preferences change ... the interpretation of guidelines should change too.

Scoring max a sculpture with a 5 because its unpainted...

This reality only makes sense if you want to dissuade sculptors to post their greens at cmon... or if your drunk. Both dont do you many favours.

Trovarion on this thread you had a good example of how things work at cmon scorings... either you have a immense fan club to boost you up and cover you from the hands of absolute randomness or you are doomed to have silly snipers, drunk people with some anal strict rules codes and all kinds of random backgrounds, punching the score buttons.

Its part of what CMON is and even if funny sometimes its not much of a good/sharp judge for your skills.

As I said before... how can you give a fair score just by looking at produced pictures that can change totally your perception in the first place? Add the random cmon factor and the business agendas of many here and your mum( even if she doesnt diferenciate a miniature from a toy) can produce much more accurate comments.

I use my scale to vote, as does everyone else use their own.

How many people here have voted a mini low because of a bad photo of it, and the same mini with a better photo scored higher?

So if it is all about the mini, then stop being hypocrits.

I vote using my standards. As I said and people kep wanting to ignore, should there be a sister site about sculpts/etc this would get a 9.

I vote on finished minis. No-paint = unfinished = not possible to get the highest vote.

You prefer to vote your own way fine, but kiss my ass trying to tell me otherwise how to vote. It is my mouse, my eyes, and I am the one who clicks. Ergo, I choose how I vote.

So you use your guide, and I will use my own, and you people need to get the sticks out of your own asses, trying to tell other people how to do anything that is different than how you do it.

Sculpted minis are minis, therfore they can be voted on as miniatures.. use your brain...
