looking for sculpters and artists

hi, im looking to start a miniature company (i know, im sat at the back of this very full band wagon). But i want to create a range of 28mm fantasy miniatures, just 1 line to begin with, that is of a style others arent producing. So im looking for a talented sculpter and some artists to produce work based on the figures produced. As a sculpter you would ideally have a knowledge of creating models for mass production (detail levels attainable that sort of thing), a good turn around time for miniature production, and a desire to see at least the first line of miniatures completed. Artists will be able to take the basic imagry shown in a figure and produce art work befitting the theme and mood of the models, most styles are acceptable, colour and b&w both fine.

so pm me with images of your work or links to it so we can then discuss in more detail the desired range and such

It's noticable that you're new at this. You don't draw in people to work for you by just saying "I want to do something and I need people who can do that for me." and then simply start stating demands.

At the very least, you have to enthuse people, if you're just going to be that 'ideas guy'. Like how exactly do you intend to be 'different' in style to the rest of the huge selection of lines that's out there? But if you're going to do more then that, say it! State your credentials, your skills. Your part in the whole thing. If it's just monetary investment from your side, that's okay too, but at least say it, state your price.
You want people working for you, you got to make it attractive for them. Especially if you want skillful people, who could just as well get work someplace else. You have to compete with those other options for those people. They have to have a reason to pick you, be interested.
You'll only draw in amateurs that way usually, with no work experience, only looking to build a portfolio or who don't know what their skill's worth.

Clear, useful information. The less people have to ask for or find out afterwards, the more honest you are, the more inclined people will be to respond. Right now I don't trust this at all and I don't feel that compelled to ask for more information. Doing work for you is an investment on it's own you know, what ensures that you just don't go running off with the work?
What would make you trust a random person on the internet? Think about that. For starters, use your real name, your real location. People are always more inclined to trust real people.
Look at kickstarter campaigns and compare which are succesful and which are not. The ones which are succesful are always the ones with real names, real people, real credentials and already something to tell and show. And especially, the ones which are interesting!

Give and receive. You're on the internet here, people take a little more convincing to take effort.

Also, it's 'sculptor', mind your english and punctuation. ;)

have to agree with most that has been said.

I'm also trying the same thing but it has taken me over 2 years to develop; learn; and to get people to take interest and even more difficult to get them to do some things.

Each aspect of mini making is a study and learining process on it's own from what i've seen; cuurrently looking at how to reproduce mini's.

In all it takes a LOT of effort over a long periode off time!!

Sorry for any language mistakes :)\

It was a playful shut up (hence the winky smiley at the end), your English is better than most natural English speakers I know, there was no need for the apology!

@locutus - don't mind freakinacage - he didn't mean to be rude. He's often on the forums here and he's a very helpful, constructive member. When he says "shut up with your apology" he means "don't be silly - your English is clearly so good you have no need to apologise. In fact it's probably better than mine, a native speaker of English." :)
