All I paint is LOTR minis. I really like them. I like the look of lots of other minis too. Though what keeps me to LOTR is the reality of them, and the motion picture to boot. You don\'t need to have a flamboyant miniature for it to look nice, and stand out. I really enjoy trying to achieve the realistic look, with the movie to inspire me. Another great thing is that there are minis that aren\'t in the film, I like to do variations on these. But I am still young, and I guess I have a lot to learn about minis in general, and the purity you guys seem to have, in your selection of minis.

Now here\'s a good example that the LOTR minis don\'t \"suck\".
We may not like them, or find them to hard to paint (guilty here) but they sure do have some great detail.
Beatiful work Griffo! I specially like Farmer Maggot and Imrahil.

Yep. I have issues with the casting, but the overall detail is great, and let\'s be honest, who has to paint them exactly like the movies? Use your darned imagination

Look, I added trim that he doesn\'t have in the movies... Simple. I could have painted him red if I wanted to but I plan on doing the entire box for a diorama one day so there!

\'Kay, Griffo\'s look awesome, but other than that... Blech. I paged through CMON for about 3 hours last night and didn\'t see one LOTR mini that was good.
Now everyone is mad that I even brought this topic up. Apparently this was discussed like an eon ago and I missed it.

So.... you know my wife? lol And she only carried that sword until the \"I do\" part.

Actually I like my RW women on the \"meaty\" side. I just like my fantasy amazons to be tall, lanky and a bit scarey, and Fiannas fit the bill.

@Griiffo - You make me sick. You and all your \"talent\"! Bah! I\'ve been painting 25 years and maybe with another 25 I\'ll be as good as you.

Just joshin\'... Your stuff is amazing! Just go to show that their are no \"bad\" sculpts, just \"bad\" paint jobs. Because of you I\'m gonna have another look at this line...
