making a swamp display base.

i found the base at a craft store called bethanys. basically carries everything for all types of hobbies. similar stuff can be found at most hardware stores. lookk for things like banister ends. they usually go for less than a dollar.

@krom thanks for noticing the fluffy grass stuff! it was an idea i\'d been toying with for awhile. i made it out of moss...i can t remember the exact type off hand.... ill post it during my next updat(tomorrow). i hand selected the top tufts and glued groups of them on to the base. i then stained them with inks to get the right kind of color feel. i think they will look great with the water effects.

two new pics.

another update! this time its some shots of the foliage i put up and a little bit of the painting work ive done. there is still so much to do! if you have any suggestions, please let me know! sorry for the poor picture quality (the chameleon being out of focus) but they were done in a hurry.

the water effects are almost done, as is the mini, more to come soon. note - my first attemp for water was woodland scenics e-z water effects. left a sheet of air and didnt flow, wasnt able to shape it because of cooling time. it would be better used on a simple water base.

It funny how before you put the mini on there I was think that the base was way bigger than that. Great job Im off to vote.
