Hiya folks!!!

Since the last Sunday WIP was such a success (thanks again everyone!) I decided to start another one :) I hate keeping ALL of my projects super-secret! (Though there still are a couple things I\'m keeping up my paint-stained sleeves)

This is one for fun, working in the \'Eavy Metal style. So it should be a lot faster. Plus I love doing edge highlighting. And not to mention I love orks and I love pirates!

And yes, I\'m aware that today is Monday! But it\'s a holiday today here in the US ;)

Everything look amazing except the skull and crossbones, they just look a little \"off\" to me.

Everything else is amazing though!

the attention goes more to the skull then to the face, wich i think isnt what you want?
wish i can paint like you:eek: how long did it take you to paint at this level?

Thanks guys :) I went with more orange in the shadows than I usually do with shading yellow, that\'s probably the reason. I\'ll be redoing that skull :)

@aapjeBOB0: I\'ve worked about 2 hours so far on it.

These projects of yours are inspiring! :D

Looking great so far, though I\'d have to agree with the others about the skull.

And a question about the black highlighting: The first highlights are done with pure Shadow Grey or you use mixes of Shadow Grey and Chaos Black?

Cheers folks :) :)

@Chaos: Orkhide Shade, Gnarlock Green, Gretchen Green, Gretchen Green + Bad Moon Yellow + Skull White

@Brother Captain: mixes

Looking great so far!
So is this a single piece or can we expect a whole Motley Krew of Orky piratical goodness?

Thanks guys :)

@Baz: Maybe, but don\'t tell anyone :D

@Hestan and Obsidian: I just used thin layers and \"feathering\" to blend. Edge highlights have a natural way of being very smooth too. Give it a try! :)

@Cleen: Time travel lol

wow, so far you\'ve only painted part of the head and people are already demanding more of your \'Chaos God-Like\' mini painting skills! great work TOO!

Thanks a lot guys :) :)

Got some more work done on the Cap\'n today. I painted the skull Bleached Bone instead of yellow, I like it a lot more now :D Decided to go with a purple/bone main color scheme. There will be some red thrown in here and there, and the outside of the jacket will be black to match his hat. Hopefully the color scheme will turn out alright.

Still need to add some dirt and possibly a freehand trim pattern of some kind on the small loincloth on his waist.
