The water clan one is actually my favourite, but I picked up the Eternal Clan for that great piece of terrain. I\'ll probably buy them all except for the Sorceror\'s Clan, he\'s kinda stupid looking. Looks like a kids toy. $7.00 at Walmart, how can I resist. I also buy my Heroscape minis there, god I love that place!

Man, they never get anything that good at our Canadian Walmarts- or at least here. Even though 7 US is about 20k Canadian once you are done with the taxes;)lol

So much for getting any painting done tonight!

I just spent the last hour an a half at the McFarlane site! Alas, it is now time for bed!

Damn you McFarlane!

He\'s pretty big, and the rider on him is about 30-35mm scale, not to shabby for game use.:D

P.S. Don\'t rate the mini, she is a Reaper Laurana fig painted by my 13yr old.

Hey, thanks for including that! Know what\'s really cool about this fig that you can\'t see in the photo? Those wing vanes are actually translucent.

(must find lame reason to keep my thread alive...)

Translucent? That is a very cool feature. Are they also very delicate, easily damageble???

AND, speaking of Dragons, did any of you catch the DRAGONS TV special on Animal Planet Sunday evening??

I don\'t think the wing vanes would be too delicate. They\'re still made of some kind of PVC plastic.

I skipped the Dragons special on Animal Planet. Was it any good?

Very stiff plastic indeed.

I just checked out my dragon. Yes, it does have transluscent wings, but I had to hold it up to the light to tell. They are such a dingy yellowish color that i didn\'t even realize they were non-opaque.

Subject matter wise, it of course was very interesting. And they had some pretty cool theories on how a \'real life\' dragon would actually operate. But, it was a bit bland it spots. It had more potential than they actually took advantage of.

I had a buddy from work try to tell me that it was real. They had really found a frozen dragon and medieval warriors in the Carpathian mountains (which was the premise of the show). I couldn\'t convince him that it was just a \'what if?\' type show....lol

Wow

We picked up some of the McFarland dragons today. They are pretty darn nice considering we paid $7.73 each for them at WalMart. That\'s what a little over 4 pounds British Sterling, or about 6 Euros. I couldn\'t find the Sorcerer Clan Dragon or the Berserker Clan Dragon, so I can\'t speak to either of them, but I was impressed with the others, especially for the price.

I was thinking I would try to strip one and repaint it, but they seem rather delicate, and I\'m not sure I could get the paint off of it without destroying it. I also don\'t know that I could really do that much batter a job painting them. There are a few areas that I would clean up, but I don\'t know that it is enough to strip and refinish all of them.

As for the wings, they all appear to be translucent, but are more on some of the dragons than others. The most transparent are on the Komodo Clan Dragon and the Water Clan Dragon.

Cheers,
Grumb

Is it really necessary to strip them do you think? What about just a few light coats of a primer, and go from there?
