I've been busy over the last couple of evenings and things are progressing



Here's where I am today, what you're seeing is little more than a base coat, even the roof at this stage -

Liked the orange but this looks cool too! interior looking spot on, only missing the VW tell tell rust hole down between the pedals.

handbrake turn.....great looking savage orc MM. I was faffing with some myself not long ago. Not overly happy with my greens but yours have come out really nice. My shadows look similar but what mixes have you used in the lights to go through a nice yellow green stage?

Those have to some of the most exciting word i see in the wips. I like your side by side skin progress comparison.

Jeez, I didn't realise how big those photos were! For the highlights I mixed in some yellowish skin tone (just a mixture of red, yellow and white) into the bright green mid tone in increasing quantities and finally a couple of very small spots of the skin tone.


As a slight diversion to my previous projects I was at John's (Dark Messiah) and Rafas (Volomir) amazing weekend workshop these past few days and here's the results -

I'll write a review tomorrow but for now all I need to say is that I enjoyed it a great deal and learned loads! Can't wait to finish this green dude now!

Its interesting to see the one half painted next to the other half base coat. If it was me I would find it hard to go back and paint the other half LOL

I'm progressing even though time has been short this week - I don't like the sculpt quite so much on this side which has made made it slightly more difficult that the other side. I'm also having to layer rather than we blend at the moment as my room is quite a bit warmer than the scythe and teacup

This side looks great too mate. The colour contrast is really strong and the greens pop with the purple shadows! This mini will look great when its finished Mega.

Lovely red tones there dude Realy make it pop with the old contrasting colours thing there. Not do sure on the bottom part of the chest possibly a tad to much red there maybe blend the green down just a little bit more? Other than that fantastic work next level and all that
