Mega's menagerie of miniature madness

Love the red! Red with orcskin is a MUST, in my opinion. But you've done such a good job with the highlights around his rib cage and such. Can't wait to see what you do with the headress. Multi-colored, yeah?

What is the experiment?

The experiment was - take a picture with my phone, resize it, upload it to photobucket, copy the link and post it. Anyway it's a pain in the arse!

Thanks buddy! There will be some colour there but not too much, I don't want it to over power things. Actually it's going to be a balancing act to get it right.

Careful not to wash that beautifully ugly face out with too much highlight. Unit it all with a glaze? IDK...you're the expert here I'm sure it's still a WIP or maybe not still looks excellent as is, I just mention my critique because I know that's what others would tell me...??????

That's such a beautiful mini great paint job your doing on it.

What colour scheme you going to do on the feathered headdress?

this is one for salute I pressume?

Cheers buddy, yep salute is the aim for him. As for the head dress, I've not decided yet but possibly desaturated with bits of teal.

That is some very subtle work.Maybe go full on black for the feathers. Might add to the menacing feeling.

Love the purple blue shadows. The elbow you must be pretty pleased, I would be. I went to the zoo afew weeks ago It reminds me of a birds throat cant remember the name of it darn it. I look forward to getting my orc brute to paint I will be back for reference!

Canny, but I thought they had orcs at the zoo in New Zealand??? Hence the reason for filming LoTR there...

I would perhaps go very basic with the feathers and make them a dirty white with red tips.

For the feathers I'm thinking dark to light nearer his head to help bring the eye to his face. But I'll try that out to see how it looks first. Yep, thats the best elbow I've ever painted :p

More more more .....
