I'm progressing the bust whilst I ponder my next miniature.....

I'm going to darken and lighten some areas on his left side just to improve that side of things a little.

how did you find them and how did they last?
Quality of the hairs?
Difficult Qs considering every one treats their brushes differently, A few of my W&N's I've had for 6 months now and are still good, but Im not a power painter.

With regard to the brushes, I tried the detail brush so the comments regard to that. I found it really very good, the quality of the hairs were really very good and the shape and size of them were excellent. I normally use a No.7 and to be honest can be quite brutal with them - they don't often last more than 2 or 3 minis before the point disappears. The Wamp one lasted effectively 2 minis before the tip disappeared. I understand they're very similar to a different UK well know and loved brush (that I don't use).

Cheers with regard to the waistcoat that's it - in real life the high lights are a little brighter and work even better (I guess that's the trouble with using a 2 yr old camera phone)

Ive come to terms with what you see on screen/camera can be quite different, tends to wash out the finer transitions, So any colour/tonal change that you see on screen is much larger in the flesh.
