Excellent selection there. You do seem to make clothing look really luxurious, especially the angel.

I recently just won a couple of the Mrs. H. figures on e-bay. Really nice to see an excellent painted one. :D

Great stuff, top for me is the winter base, but the christmas scene rocks too, what the hell, I like all of them. Thanks for sharing...

Great stuff. Has a very cute look - that\'s a good thing. One thing, to be blunt, that is one SERIOUSLY STACKED Mrs. Claus!!:eek:lol

Yep, that Libby is a versatile lady - riding tigers, playing Blood Bowl, delivering gifts, suntanning on the beach, but through it all she maintains her voluptuous figure. :-> Hope you enjoy painting your Mrs. H as much as I did mine Roger.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Some excellent stuff there, V&Cd it all. The snowman and the Christmas one are my favourites - something I forgot to mention in my comment on the Christmas one is that the carpet effect works really well.

You seem to have a really good eye for composition, and your painting is almost flawless. Nice work :)

so Wren, when you going to do some tutorial articles?

(we need a begging smilie)

The angle\'s wings are great, but the dress/gown does not seem to have enough contrast. Photo issues? or another shadow and highlight missing?

I think there\'s enough highlighting, but there probably isn\'t enough shading. What happened with that dress... first I started with a cream colour shaded with the purple used overall. Which on the cream went sort of maroony and hideous. And I way overdid it on the shading. So when I started over again I think I was probably a little conservative with the shading for fear of things turning hideous again.

I did a brief tutorial on colour over on Wyrd, but I don\'t think that\'s anything not already covered in CMON\'s copious info. I\'m working on a photography one, I should get back to that soon. What sorts of topics do you think I should do a tutorial on?

Thanks for saying the carpet effect works Bill! I was doing that as a sort of experiment (had the idea ages ago) and wasn\'t sure how people were liking it. It\'s just flock, but applied first and then primed and painted like any other part of the mini. I did a test with a powdered carpet fibre thing for model cars for another mini once, but I don\'t think it looked very good and the colour selection of that product is really tiny.
