Thanks guys. I am really trying for the look in the main pic above, but I am to the point of "oh crap" due to the trim now needing gold work and brushing it will not work as there will be brush marks. Time to kick my "airbrush skills" (lack for a better term) into full force. Yes I am also using craft paint from Hobby Lobby for this. A friend I am doing this for bot the $1.00 paint bottles. So cutting that with airbrush reducer is quite the challenge. Here is my updated pic....

Ok here is pretty much the model put together. Yeah, Yeah,.... the body is of course not even primed yet due to my 2nd bottle of liquid green stuff to fill in all the holes from the casting bubbles, but hey give me a couple days to get that going. For the most part all the purple is completed. Then Gold and Gun Metal.

Ok it has been awhile for updates on this project, but trying to get things looking partly decent has been a very challenging experience here. Mainly because the paints provided were those craft paints from Hobby Lobby and cutting those for the airbrush have been a task to say the least. But here is some work done as of today. Please enjoy and any comments / complaints are welcome. Yes I know, hobby craft paint is bad, but I was not going to supply vallejo paints that are 4 buck a pop for a project that will be given back to the rightful owner :) I did buy the cutting solvent however.

Lol thanks grey. Yes lots of time spent trying to work craft paint, it actually is going on well. But I would not recommend using it as a main paint. It is much cheaper on something this size. I mean how much $$ would vallejo paint be for a job like this?

Thanks Digg! I know the pictures look a bit washed out, but I guess that is what I get for not having a nice camera. But I was able to get more highlighting done last night. Necron's are easy to paint (Dry brushing mainly) but I have been trying hard to add in more details and colors, like on the control panel. I had added blue, red and orange to the buttons. Far from done, but I have 3 weeks left until Gencon:)
